In Britain, bars/pubs normally shut at midnight whereas in the USA, these places normally remain open until 3:00 AM. But in Holland, a place such as that wouldn't close until the last person leaves!

The number on Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's registration/licence plate, GEN 11, resembles the word 'genii' which is Latin for 'magical being'. So consequently, this would 'translate' as 'magical motor car'.
