The President turned toward Althea and smiled, "Please! Call me Buster. It's a party, go on and have fun! Have you met Admiral Fox McCloud yet? He's quite the commanding officer. He reminds me of myself during the Federation Civil War. We happened to share a lot in common you know?"
"Admiral McCloud at your service, glad to meet you Miss Voss," Fox smiled as well. What was strange to her was the fact that the Admiral was only a tad older than President Rivers, but he looked as if he was in his late forties. Compared to the President, McCloud was showing signs of his age, "Now tell me again how you Pokemorphs managed to stay so young?"
"It's simple really. Pokemorphs are one of the most resilient beings in the galaxy well, our galaxy. We can survive radiation better than most terrestrial organisms and not only that, we naturally have a long lifespan. Some Pokemorphs, like Althea who is a Ninetails, can live almost forever because our cells are extremely tough and/or replicating. On average a mammalian Pokemorph can live up to 200 years or more with healthcare. Once we reach 18 we practically stay looking 18 until sometime in our 30s. Couple that with socialist healthcare and you've got one hell of a long life. Hell, some people have been alive since our species first expanded into space. Speaking of generations, currently ours does not have a generation gap. You know, now that I mentioned it, there hasn't been a generation gap since the 2100s. It's been culturally locked ever since. We regard video games as an art form and sport, personal electronic devices are widespread and varied, the internet is also taken as an art form, techno and alternative have been the most popular forms of music, the vast majority of the populous own intercontinental aircraft, what you see on the buffet table is what we usually eat, that sort of thing. I'd say we're a bit culturally advanced don't you think?"
"Why yes, back in Lylat we also take video games quite seriously. But we usually eat Western food and not everyone gets a personal aircraft. Music is different too, people prefer pop and that hip-hop and rap crap. Also, not everyone uses a PDA or smartphone or that sort of thing. Generally those are reserved for the military and the well to do. Sorry, is Olaris here? I wish to speak to him."
