Well, I was going sort of loosely on the idea. Never really liked the whole shadow familiar thing, anyway
Bleaugh. Just spent ten minutes typing an explanation, so let me just give you a general context of the abilities I will use: Shadow Jumping (Though I don't use the whole distance thing. I sort of go with the "Whatever distance I teleport, it saps energy as if I had run the distance five times over"), creating shadow figures (during the day it's obvious that they are fake - and they can't actually make sound or touch/harm anything, but in dark areas they look fairly real), and general manipulation of darkness (extending it, deepening it - though he can't see in complete darkness, and thinning it).
Limits to my abilities: I have to either see the area I am Shadow Jumping/teleporting to, unless I know the area really well (Meaning he can't get rid of all the light in a room then jump around, because he can't see, and could potentially jump inside a wall and injure himself). His shadow figures are just that: Shadows. They aren't perceived by any perception except sight, and are not substantial in any way. and manipulating darkness during the day in sunlight is extremely tiring.
Figured I'd just clarify, since I don't really follow the shadowdancer's progression or rules.
As for his fighting style, Mawz is most certainly a rogue/assassin. he just has shadowdancer skills.
