*darkness...falling...nothing....LIGHT!*
 
I surge awake, laping to my feet with visions of demons and horro's still in my mind, my wings spread behind my i drop into a craouch spear held low and at the ready....nothing there......just these other strangers....
 
"I neve rexplained before, Iv lived on this island for a very long time, ever since i fled my homeland...evil dwells here as you have seen, i followed you in here to try and prevent what has come to pass...."
 
DE's head bows slightly...." And yet, i feel there is much danger to come, my houner will not let me abandon you to it alone...I will join you if you would let me"
 
*De is silnt now, deep in troubled thought*

(I thought you said physical injuries lasted to the real world.    )
 
Danny groaned and sat up, rubbing her head.  "Ow...  How much is this thing worth again?"

[Shadis]

[I don't think I did. If I did, it was a typo. Physical injuries do not follow us into the real world. Our bodies are still sound.]
 
*I laught* "A nominal fee of 1,000 gold pieces per person." [THATS ALOT! 100 copper = 1 silver. 100 silver = 1 gold. It's millions of dollars irl.]
 
*I then turn to DE* "Oh, hello their. You followed us in to try to protect us? Thats quite noble of you, if that's actually what you were doing. No offense, but most people these days are without honor. But maybe you are one of the rare good ones. Very well, I accept you into our service. You have my thanks for the assistance. What is your name, Sir Raven?"

"My name is Nathaniel Corax, last surviving member of the Crux Inquisition"


....."But you may call me Corvex"


***The crux inquisition was an organisation formed by government and church in DE's homeland, to hunt down and execute witches/necromancers/demons etc and those otherwise deemed to be using the forbidden art of "magic"***

Danny watched quietly, still reeling.  She narrowed her eyes.  "The Crux Inquisition?  Don't they execute those with "Abilities"?

[Kaya]

Cassandra laughs "ha! You dare try to remove me and you, boy are going to get seriously hurt. I doubt you would even be able to. " she lazily heats the floor under her feet and the air around her. There wassomething 'off' you could say about her. She did not seem to be the same person as before.

[DE]

"danny.....The use of magic....i used to believe....i was taught to believe was gifted only to servants of god, any others had gained it through the work of the devil...The members of inquisition were such servants, our....gifts were used to vanquish those the church  opposed"


..Corvex seems to sadden suddenly...


"There was a time we were commanded to burn down and slaughter a village in the northan ice fields....that village was my home."


"I  took up my spear, my knife, and i set about my fellows as they tried to light the fires.....none survived. And i was forced to flee my homeland on pain of death"

[Shadis]

"I am very sorry to hear that, Sir Corvex. While I cannot vouch for the others, I can indeed assure you that my magic has no demonic origins." *I gesture to the silver cross necklace around my neck.* "I can say with conviction that it is in your best wishes NOT to attack us, though, as we are all quiet capable in our abilites. Now, unpleasentries aside, shall we continue?"

Danny got to her feet, swaying slightly.  "I'm sorry for your family, but I think we should probably move.  If anything catches here and block the exits, we're as good as dead."

[DE]

"Indeed, Let's go"...

[Shadis]

*We continue down the hall way for some time. I continue to assist the group in the evading of traps, though less and lass traps were found. Slowly, the place gets warmer and warmer. We can see red light at the end of the tunnel.* "Hold up guys, something doesn't look right. Imma check it out." *I float forward, leaving everyone in the dark. I then call back* "The next chamber is full of hot magma, but for some reason the heat is not at a dangerious level. Be carefull where you step though!"

[Cifero Windtail]

Joseph opened his eyes to see his party leaving without him.
"Hey guys, wait for me!" he said, running after them. He caught up to Cassandra.
"Guys, please, next time wait fo-"
He stops short as he realizes that the group is now BEHIND him...
And then they walked through him.
"What the..."

[Kaya]

Cassandra smiles "its not to hott down here at all." Even in the other relm cassandra looks different. Her inner slef lashes out at Joseph laughing. stay out of this.

[Cifero Windtail]

"Huh?"
Joseph looked around... then noticed something.
There was a demon at the end of the corridor.
"Oh crap..."

[Shadis]

*The group gets into the magma chamber. Above a bubling pool of hot magma is a narrow, crumbling, stone bridge. Magma pours from vents in the walls into the pool. To make matters worse, the light from the magma flows make it impossible to go into Shadow form for Maws and I. I whimper.* "I sense great magic in this place. Sniff Sniff. Demon magic. Whats worse is that that bridge could give at any time, and I can't go shadow here. Moan, just my luck!"
