Never heard the name before, but in a desperate attempt to come up with a name for one of the characters in my book, I took the name Nathan (It was the first one to came to mind
), changed the "N" to an "L" because... I don't know, I just did.
Then decided Layton sounded better than Laython. Then decided I didn't like the spelling but I liked the sound, so I just changed the spelling. Thus, my current and sixth sona, Leiton, was born. Oh, and his last name was decided to be Grey, since that was/is my favorite color and it makes a good last name.
Since I made it and my character, it has just sort of stuck, and really just seems to fit. Heck, I've gotten to the point where more people (even in real life) know me more by Leiton Grey than by my real name...
