how would you survive a zombie apocolypse

I would just wear riot gear with a tail

I'd pack necessities in my laptop bag and backpack, staying at my dad's place (cherry farm)
I'd pick up any canned food I can, we have a dam and a water filter, it's hooked up to all of the taps, so all we'd need is a generator!

I'd use wooden spears as a main weapon, as they offer plenty of reach, can be stabbed into the heads and can be thrown.
I'd use my dad's .22 rifle as a long range and a hatchet as a close-range (if needed, ie: spear stuck)

My dad also has some nice possum traps, an air rifle, shotgun and a higher caliber rifle (not sure which)
I'd probably spend the rest of my money buying books, both for skills and some fiction for entertainment =P.

ok all good ideas but heres a game changer

in the deadspace series the alien like zombies known as the necromorphs have to be the most frightning and nearly implossible zombies to encounter but.....

what if instead of a zombie apocolypse there was a  NECROMORPH APOCOLYPSE

note: these are not ordinary zombies they are controlled by instinct and are intelegent, a decapitation wont do it you need to either load a sh*t tone of bullets into there chests or dismember them

they come in different forms

slashers: basic and common necromorph bladed arms

puker: pukes acid all over its prey

Stalker: a once adorable infant that has tentacles and want to eat you

the pack: children that are fast and atack in packs (they can be killed by once shot to the head though)

brutes: theyre name says it all aim for the back

and I can go on, basicly how would you survive this apocolypse more like how long would you survive

ahem, 50 cal sniper rifle, 50 cal magnum revolver, ak47 with frag attatchment, rpg, a few browning machine guns, a sword or two, incendiary frags, napalm and a few veatnamese/german inspired mines ^-^ i think i'd last till i run out of ammo

mr razot a minigun wont do much unless it tears of its arms or legs you can kill them with shots to the chest it just takes AALLOOTT of bullets like i mean ALOT

You can use a minigun to chop down a tree and just go and google its rounds per minute

Ok if you modified the minigun to shoot 5o. cal bullets hollow points tyr will envy you and the necromorphs will cry if they even hear tales of your god like sature

then mount them so theres two next to each other like they do with brownings and load then both with 1000 round belts with a tracer every 6th round ^-^ set up two of those covering each enterance to yur base and have four man teams maning them with teams of four with semi-automatic sniper rifles that fire either incendiary or explosive rounds to cover them and i think the enemy's will be to scared to try attacking us oh and chuck a couple rocket launchers and night vision goggles for every one....just to be sure ^-^
