  •                     1 cup softened butter
  •                     3 egg yolks
  •                     1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  •                     2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  •                     1 teaspoon baking soda
  •                     1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 1/4 cups of white sugar
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat together wet items in large bowl (Yolks, softened butter, vanilla extract) together with sugar. Once wet items are combined with sugar, slowly add flour, along with tartar and baking soda, then beat together all ingredients. Roll dough into roughly the size of a walnut, and place about an inch apart on parchment-covered pan. Cook for approximately 15 minutes (they can change fairly quickly, so you'll want to keep an eye on it)
Enjoy! This is very much a favorite recipe among my family.
