I would hide myself from the world because realistically they would try to capture such a creature and dissect them.

I don't think any government would try to steal you but they would try to contact you. I mean you are still a citizen of your country so you still have rights. That's my theory. 

"I would wake up (and it's usually dark so I wouldn't notice anything diffrent.) and go to the restroom, see myself in the mirror, then I would be touching my fur,face, and tail and see if it was real. Then I would invoke some sort of pain to see if it was real. (Then I would see if all the..."plumbing" was in place.) Then of course I would wake my sister up and tell her not to freak out. Then I guess my dad would tell me to stay home. (Wouldn't want me on the news yet.) In my time away from school I would ask my dad if I can visit my friend and show him. 1 hour later I would have explained everything and then I would have to go back home, tell my friend I'll be back. When the time would be right I would go back to school. Then who knows what would happen.

omg, i would probably scream and once my parents run into the room, i would try the best that i can to explain that it wasnt my fault, and that it was my fursona that i changed to.. but then they probably would have been so worried that they wont listen and just take me to the hospital. i guess after realizing that they cant do much about my..."condition" (thats what they'd probably call it  )..and just let me go on with my life.

I would wake up... and scream and flail as loud as I can to try to wake up. But im not sleeping  so then i'd go climb a building.
Id get down, sprint as fast as my body would allow, feral though. Then lastly, go find my Custom Civilian-ized Green Arwing.
Because my Raptorwing is meant for non civilian related things, like fighting, soldier transport, and space travel.


That flailing and yelling thing actually forces me to wake up. It's kind of amazing.

I would cry silently for a few minutes.
Then I would attempt to contact my kin from my home reality (I.e. see if the reception is any better.not.hampered by this human form).
Depending on what was communicated I would quickly sort through useful possessions and pack a bag.
Then I would confront my father and explain the situation... not backing down until I was sure he would do what I required... I.e. explain my absence.
Then I would explore my abilities and test my limits in this reality... and depending on that I would...
Contact and confront certain human beings that I could sway to my agenda...
 that sounds a bit sinister, but actually I would just be creating a sympathetic environment in which to communicate the ideals of.my home reality and thus create a supportive / defensive network for creatures of my ilk.
I would.then attempt to create a traversible bridge between my world and this one... provided of course, that only energy signatures such as myself or my kin could make use of the bridge. I certainly wouldn't do anything that would allow humans to access my home.

I'm not very active in the morning so I can't imagine I'd scream or freak out.  I'd see if my cat (who sleeps next to me" is cool with this.  He's pretty much the one I'd care about me turning into a wolf.  I wouldn't tell my father... I'd only show him.  He would have to make the first move.  I literally have no idea what I could say.
After this... I dunno.  Let the general population find out.  Go on the Tonight show, Oprah, whatever.
Find out how this happened and give others the option to change I suppose.
Not very exciting, but I don't know what I do differently in my life.
