That my Mum never saw my cubs... that kills me every time they have some milestone or achievement.  That I feel like I only knew her as a child knows and adult, never adult to adult.  It just cuts me up.


Of course, my Mum was a really cool chick.  She was wise and funny and kind.  I know not all parents are like that.  Some are just crap.  That's a tragedy too.
