Story; 8.5/10
I love how lore-friendly this game is... up until the last few minutes. Without giving any spoilers, basically you would feel like Tolkien himself had written this, and stashed it away for the day that it could become a video game. Quite a few nice cameos too, for you big LotR buffs. The ending though, is a big downer...
It's also a bit short. If you do a good job of not getting distracted, it's only 20 missions.
Side-Quests; 10/10
You won't get bored. It's that simple. If you do, then obviously you don't enjoy wrecking orcs. Simple as that, without giving much away.
Nemesis System; 9/10
So, this is pretty cool. If you want a detailed description of this, go to Wiki or just google it, but basically this'll insure that you have a very fluid, and varied, experience fighting the Uruk Captains/War Chiefs.
Combat; 9/10
So much fun. Sure, a lot of it is just button mashing and getting combos, but it is very entertaining, exciting, intense, challenging, etc. Once you're maxed in abilities, you'll be doing intense execution combos left and right, and feel like you really are a Ranger. My only complaint is that sometimes your counters are delayed, or your dodges.
Stealth; 9.5/10
Yep, a LotR game with Stealth. The stealth works like Assassin's Creed to a degree. You go from regular mode, to stealth mode, and you can either assassinate, brutalize (which makes nearby enemies flee), or branding, which allows you to take control of the target. What's also amazing is that if an enemy spots you, there's a few seconds where you can still stealth them before your stealth is negated.
