Blinded In Chains

[Cifero Windtail]

"Thank you," Zephyr said, removing a roll of bandages from his bag. Taking the hairs, he shucked off his jacket and then lightly taped the two hairs over his demon mark. "This is so I can accompany you into the realm. However, I cannot help you fight the demon. I can, however, keep the demon from receiving any aid." He nodded. "Alright. Take off the jacket and lie down on your back." As he spoke, he took a number of items out of his bag, including three large candles.

[Kitane Blackfyre]

Reluctantly, she takes off Atticus' jacket, setting it gently aside and laying on her back as she was told to do. She closes her eyes and takes a deep breath, all ready feeling Mudvayne stirring behind her own consciousness.

[Cifero Windtail]

Setting the three candles around Kitane in a triangular position, Zephyr lit each of them, then came close, unscrewing the cap of a small flat  jar. "Alright... stay still," Zephyr said. Moving carefully, he drew a circle around each of her markings with a red paste, then drew one around his own marking and laid down next to Kitane. "Okay," Zephyr said. "Now... I need you to relax. Loosen your muscles... but be careful not to disrupt the circles I drew.

[Kitane Blackfyre]

She nods ever so slightly, careful as to not disrupt the circles he'd made around her markings. She closes her eyes and relaxes, keeping her breathing slow and steady. Her muscles loosen completely and she opens her eyes slightly.

[Cifero Windtail]

"Now close your eyes and clear your mind," Zephyr said. "I will meet you in the nether plane." With those words, he became fully still.

(Enter it now)

[Kitane Blackfyre]

Closing her eyes and clearing her thoughts, she slips into the nether plane. Her eyes open in this plane, her ears alert and her eyes scanning the area. It was similar to where they'd just been during their fight with Aerrow. Amethyst eyes come closer, a feline-like shape easy to make out. "Kitane!" Mudvayne calls. "What brings you here?" The demon asks, stopping a few feet away.

[Cifero Windtail]

"Kitane!" Zephyr is at the door, fighting something invisible to kitane. Alright... now it's simple from here... you must beat her in battle, he said, through the mental connection he had set up with her. You must win... otherwise, your demon will kill you and take over your body. You must fight yours now... don't worry, your sword is with you. Do not kill her when you beat her... that will also kill you. If you best her in combat, she will cooperate with you fully forevermore.

[Kitane Blackfyre]

Her ears flick to Zephyr's voice, but she keeps her gaze on Mudvayne. "Right. Easier said than done." She mumbles. She draws her clockwerk blade, Mudvayne drawing one similar to hers, only copper since Kitane's had remained silver. Mudvayne's amethyst eyes narrow and she lunges for Kitane, who parries and jumps out of the demon's way.

Zephyr kept fighting the unseen monsters, drawing Serac and spraying ice into their ranks. You can do this, Kitane, he thought to her. Don't listen to what Mudvayne says. Just fight.

[Kitane Blackfyre]

She nods and keeps fighting, driving her demon back. Mudvayne swings her sword and slices into her arm. A growl erupts from Kitane and she switches her sword to her left arm. She allows her right arm to go limp, able to fight with out it. She swings and dodges the next attack, a snarl formed across her lips.

[Cifero Windtail]

Zephyr looks back and sees Kitane. I can't help you fight, but I can heal you if you wish.

[Kitane Blackfyre]

She shakes her head and growls as the demon jumps back from her blade. She keeps fighting, both of them moving fast to dodge and strike. It wasn't starting to look good for Kitane. She was determined to make it through this, even if she was wounded. Healing wasn't going to make this any easier.

[Cifero Windtail]

Zephyr continued to fight off the monsters outside, sending positive messages to kitane through his mind until he realized something. Kitane, use your powers too! he thought. I can also give you a transfusion of energy.

[Kitane Blackfyre]

"Thanks, but I got this!" She calls to him over her shoulder. She wasn't going to accept any help, though she appreciated his offers of help. She was fighting as hard as she could, while the demons weren't even breaking a sweat.

[Cifero Windtail]

Zephyr nodded. "Okay!" Suddenly, something knocked him into the force field that kept him from entering the room. "OOF!" Opening his eyes, he saw a face...

A very FAMILIAR face.

"Oh, crap..." With those words, he leapt into battle against the same creature that had scarred his face.

Kitane, listen to me... You can beat her. You just have to make her see that she is no more than a part of you. This is YOUR mind, Kitane. You can do whatever you want here.
