Blinded In Chains

Atticus nods in response and walks in slowly, cautious, and alert for anything that the man might be hiding. He follows a little ways back, closer to zephyr, so if something does happen, he could hand off kitane, and he could deal with the situation.

"There's no need to be tense boy." Axel grunts, stopping before a room big enough for the three of them. "I'm not going to hurt any of you. The only thing you have to worry about is my dog." He says before opening the door for them. "You may rest here as long as you like, but don't touch anything other than what I tell you." He says, a dark hint to his tone. He relaxes slightly and continues down the hall. "Have a good night." He says.

Zephyr watched him leave, shrugging. "I wasn't tense," he said. "Just naturally suspicious." He leaned out the door. "We will!" he called.

Attucis didn't relax until he was gone. He sighed and closed his eyes, setting kitane on the bed and, pulling up a chair, sat next to the bed with his head bent. " Well... now what?"

Kitane twitches slightly in her sleep, one arm reaching for Atticus with a soft whimper. Her dreams were changing to nightmares of what to come, though remaining asleep. Her other arm pulls back and rests on her stomach.

Zephyr glances back. "Not sure," he said. "Perhaps we should sleep?"

Atticus smiled slightly," sleep? I don't think I can..." He looked down at kitane and he sighed and smiled, standing up and taking off his shirt, revealing his chiseled torso, and he laid down next to kitane and propped his head up with his arm underneath his head and the other around her. he looked at zephyr," I... I'm nervous..."

Zephyr walked over and sat down on the edge of the bed. "How so?"

He looked down at kitane and then back at him," I'm nervous about the fight ahead... about the very likely chance that one of us might not make it back..."

[Kitane Blackfyre]

A slight whimper escapes from her as she curls up closer to Atticus, though never awakening. She mumbles something in German, but it's inaudible to the others.

Zephyr looked down at his shoes. "Of course that automatically means that I might not make it back," he said, sighing.

[Kitane Blackfyre]

A slight grunt comes from the doorway. Axel stands there, holding some spare clothes for the three. "What's this about not making it back?" Asked the near blind wolf. He puts the spare clothes on the stand next to the door. "You can trust me, I am unable to harm any of you. Clearly I am blind and disabled if you are worried about anything of the sort." He says, leaning against the doorframe, but nearly missing it.

Zephyr turned around calmly. "I see you've finally decided to speak," he said. He took out a knife and spun it in his hand. "Well.. you see, we're about to do something really dangerous, and it's quite possible that one or more of us will die."

[Kitane Blackfyre]

"You have a Guardian with you. You'll make it back alive." He says, pointing to Kitane. "Her kind, demon and vampire hybrids are called Guardians. Created after death. Intended to keep the weak safe from destruction." He explains, crossing his arms. He remains calm, the scent of metal not fazing him for a second.

Atticus sighed and looked at zephyr." I was gonna say that i would make sure that you would make it back even if it risked me losing my life." he looked at axel and smiled slightly," but we have ended up saving her life a few times over, so...."
