The sky being blue has actually nothing to do with the ocean.
when light hits the atmosphere from the sun, light splits and we see it at it's shorter wavelength: blue.
when the sun sets, there is more atmosphere between us and the sun, so we get to see light at a longer wavelength: red

does this interest you?

It did when I first learned it!

Do you know why the sky isn't violet even though it's wavelength is even shorter than blue?

Because the human eye has significantly more cones sensitive to blue wavelengths than violet so we basically see more blue than purple.  Another species with almost identical eyes but with slight change in rod distribution would see a violet sky.

Do you know about Earth's so-called "second moon"?

If you're talking about 3753 Cruithne, then yes, I know of it. It's not technically a moon though, just an asteroid that has become a natural satellite :)
