Well, artificial synapses (the connection between neurons, what make your brain work) have been created, so its Highly likely that the next advance is immortality technology.

Immortality will be controlled by someone or something.
everything has to come at a cost.

The cost will be getting a doctor to perform the process for you and for the new brain you will have, and after that, any updates or repairs to your new brain.


What makes you think immortality is going to be controlled by someone? Sounds very conspiracy theory to me.

i'm thinking immortality for the whole body, though now i remember you're talking about just the brain.


though what's to say the new body wont have external input commands?

If you didn't you'd just be a mind in a box    Pretty boring without some form of stimuls, even if it is just proprioception, and how would you communicate otherwise? without external input, you just condemn yourself.

would you become a space ship pilot, though in becoming one, they would have to remove your brain and interface it with the ship directly?

Why not? as long as I can have an avatar to do stuff for me, its perfectly fine.

i've always thought it would be cool
only i would keep my upper torso as is, possibly replacing a few organs.

I'd adapt security protocols so I know exactly what I'm downloading and can stop it. All a part of getting used to have extreme intelligence.

no
there is so much predetermining our decisions that already we are "zombies"
we are told we are too fat or too thin and what products make us look good
we are told how to act and when not to act and why not to act to the point that we even choose not to act and stop bad things from happening.


we have all been brainwashed,
it's our nature as human beings to adapt
and we have adapted to being brainwashed.
