Hmmm, I guess I was curious.  I'd come across some furry art and some furry hate.  When people hate something really passionately it makes me interested in forming my own opinion.  So I guess you could say contrary skepticism.

I was curious as well how being a member of the fandom feels like. I was following many furry artists on various sites but I never really joined the fandom myself.. till recently (this summer) that is :p


What was the worst thing someone told you just because you are a furry?

Nothing really, I guess I must mix in inclusive circles.  The closest thing was "I hope you're not a baby-fur, they are LITERALLY Hitler".  Which seemed a bit harsh




Do you think of Bronies as a type of furry or a totally different fandom?

I think that Bronies, although they share many common stuff with the furry fandom, can be considered a completely fandom themselves. That said.. it doesn't mean that Bronies can't be furries too.  I mean what if someone is a Bronie but doesn't really relate with the Furry fandom as a whole? Therefore I think Bronies can be a standalone concept.

Well, I think from a taxonomic viewpoint they are, but pragmatically I wouldn't expect a Bronie to identify as Furry unless they considered themselves to be furry in addition.

Plenty of animals love chew toys. What place do you think they'd have in a furry society? Do you think they'd be seen/used like pacifiers only for little ones, do you think it's something furs of all ages would use, or do you see them as having a different place/acceptance in a furry society?

Knowing furries are half human/half animals, do you think racism would take a prominent role in a furry society?

I think that racism will be present since this doesn't have necessarily with the looks but rather with the mindset of each individual. So the answer is yes.

What's the biggest flaw in this fandom?

That nearly everyone wants to be special and stand out, gosh!
Well, I don't think that's a flaw
I think the fandom is susceptible for trolls and other douches as it's very imaginative. We're kind of the geeks and nerds in school x)
