How many times do you look up at the stars and wonder if you're doing things right?

Never really, there are no stars to look up to.

How would you react if aliens visited this world (you don't know their intention).

Grab the best ranged weapon I can get my hands on, keep a tranceiver/phone to reach emergency services nearby, stay close to a reasonably resilient piece of cover, (In my case, the bunkers in the national park would do greatly) And then challenge them to a dance-off.

If the shoot me, they're not friendly. (Either or they hate dance-off's)


In all seriousness now though, I would probably hide, try to judge how heavily armed they are, or if they have vehicles that can be quickly deployed, to then try to find an adequate escape route.

If I can find an escape route, I would try to approach them as un-threatheningly as I can, and see if I can, in any way, convince them that I'm friendly, and if I can communicate with them.

what is the most likely place for an alien to land

If you're talking about litterally landing, then there would be 2 logical options for them.

1. Somewhere with the least amount of people, and native wildlife, so they can quitly establish a foothold, and get their bearings on the envirement, wildlife, and technology, before they slowly start moving outwards towards the humans. (Keeping their distance from countries/areas with strong millitary powers is probably also considered).

2. They will spend a majority of time in orbit around the planet, studying us from a safe distance, so they know what they're dealing with. Once they've established that, they will likely land in a highly populated area to create an impression/kill us all.





How high would you consider the odds that any aliens landing on our planet will be hostile?

Earth isn't really a large, obvious planet, and there are other bodies even in our own system with more resources. Chances are that if an alien is looking for life, and therefore arrive at earth, they are friendly. So... a decent chance.
