I dunno, but the general plot often follows a conflicted child with parents who are divorced, and some sort of event occurs at around Christmastime, where the child will then go through a spot of bother, meet Santa or a friendly neighbour, then they return to their family where the parents get back together again as the power of Christmas willed them to do so and everyone lives happily ever after.
