I believe religion was a way to explain the unexplained. It helped us, but I dunno if it was really necessary, nor beneficial. It made people believe in certainty, people never looked for answers, they were certain they already had them. That looking is what propelled us into the age of discovery.

One that hasn't happened yet is the extinction of Homo Sapiens. One that has was Chernobyl, because it fostered ignorance toward scientific processes and knowledge.

It's a toss up between spring and fall. I think I prefer fall more because of the changing colors. I'm from pennsylvania so it's really good out there. Winter and summer are a no go for me... too much cold or heat.

Doubt it. Even assuming genetic engineering I highly doubt there will ever be a divide on species similar to that. Or rather I figure we'll all just die out before we're capable of reaching that point.

If you could make life more like a space opera in the near future (say 30 yearsish) would you? It includes a slower time for new technologies to be developed and a greater focus on the specific time periods rather than the future of the future.
