I'd probably bring it to a laboratory after finding out which location would be best suited for this sort of discovery. Hopefully not 500 miles away in southern California, unless they are going to pay me $500 ($200 for gas, $160 for the 2 days off, and $140 for braving the capture/captivity).

How would you handle a fire breathing dragon?

I would probably attempt to tame it, if it were "domestic cat" sized, anyways. The real problem would be making an area that was non-flammable. Especially if it were capable of a 5-foot flame reach. Then I would never talk about it, otherwise I'd never see it again.
