Nope! I'm haven't even seen back to the future yet :O (I know! I KNOW! I should be shot
)
Do you think the internet could be conscious?
(Think about it, the internet behaves extremely similarly to our brain. Our consciousness is the result of billions of neurons communicating with each other, and the internet is the result of billions of users communicating with each other. The brain remembers things and adapts it's processes by going back through memory banks to interpret new stimuli, which the internet of course does too with major historical events and so forth. The brain opts for self preservation, as does the internet when challenged by legislation. Neurons fire in parallel in our brain, in which each neuron competes for the majority "favour" which is eventually registered by the consciousness*, the internet does the same thing with each user and idea competing to become the majority and [eventually] sweeping the internet like a meme.
*This has been scientifically shown, a common example is if you see an apple (which looks similar to a pear), neural connections that identify you've seen a pear will fire, while neural connections that identify you've seen an apple will also fire, but more properties of the apple align with the neural connections of the apple and thus they fire "louder" and become the majority idea, so the apple and pear neurons compete to become the majority)
