^^ A place to visit would be Ontario. Place to avoid: New York. I can't really think of anything good to find there except some trees, that I could find further up north.
Easy choice: cold. You can easily escape the cold by putting on more layers or making a fire. To escape the heat, well you pretty much can't. The shade, some sun lotion, perhaps a fan, and open windows only mask the blazing heat. The only thing that will work is air conditioning and that's pretty damn expensive, and not portable by any stretch of the imagination. A lot of businesses and even houses with frugal owners won't run the AC even if it's 120 degrees outside. While it gets pretty hot on occasion in some parts of the United States, it is hot all the time in some places like Florida and California. I gotta tell you, it's never fun and I never look forward to Spring or Summer. Fall and Winter are nice, but even then it's a temporal "slightly less hot" where you get down to 20 degrees on a rare occasion at night and early morning, which I worship very much so.
Will you move to the New England portion of the states?
