What would you choose with reason?

I favor fire. Go out with a sensation, living life and its pains to the fullest.


Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

It is a childish thing. Its high time we abandon it and let those who rationalize it perish as of their wont.

Let it happen if it must,
I have better things to do than mourn or fear the inevitable.
Rather accept it's going to happen and get on with life.

Yes, and we can truly avoid death. It starts with brain transplants into healthier "younger" bodies, and then its mind uploading.  Just the grand scheme of things.

I would lose track of time.
Also what about disease and illness?
Where would the bodies come from?

How about just being cryogeneticly frozen?

Future or past?

Future, the past lives on in simulations made by memories.

@RazotYou would still have a lifespan, you would only be paused.


Disease and illness are nearly non-factors whe you can print out new bodies using cell cultures from the original.
Lose track of time? if anything you would gain a real sense of it, and you would never have to worry about the fo of ages if you upload your mind.

Though how do you think it would effect the planet as a whole if such technology was available?

But of course.  Some long years into the future some uploaded mind will decide to become a planet, if not earth, similar.

Funny... My friend asked me that not too long ago...
I still say no

If I was ever to upload myself into anything it would be a robot insect that can jack into any machine necessary.

I'd go for a planet, start my own species on its path to transwhatever future. Heck, maybe even that far in the future we could do an entire solar system as one single person.
