Jackal looked at the scar in Avine's throat... and remembered something. "Oh my god... you got that during the evacuation, didn't you?"

"I was a prisoner for 15 years of my life, and lived in a broom closet for the rest. Excuse me for not knowing what a 'Refridgerator' does."

He noticed Avines discomfort and rushed over. "Shhh, don't worry, tell me when and if you are ready. I'm here for you." He hugged her close.

Jackal looked at his boots, a sad look dawning upon his countenance. "I remember that evacuation... it's fuzzy, but I remember..."

[Kitane Blackfyre]

She nods slightly to Jackal and buries her face into Lokyar's shoulder. She shivers again, trying to shove the memory from her thoughts, but is unsuccessful at doing so.

A laugh erupts from him and he looks at Savel. "You? How would you be a problem?" He chuckled, turning around to face him fully.

Yosemike picked his way from rooftop to rooftop before making it to a hotel.  He repelled down a wall, and entered through the front, nodding to the desk man.  Up to the 12th story Yosemike found his room and tried the key.  Seeing that it wasn't taking his card he slammed his fist on the card lock
*Stupid American crap!* he yelled in Japanese before heading down to the front desk

"Hey, my card ain't working" he said to the cat behind the counter, tossing the hotel key onto the desk.
"let me check the database... Name?" she asked him, beginning to type on a computer
"Yosemike Heroshima" the otter responded, with his arms crossed
"uh, no your not signed in here, or ever for that matter" she responded, looking up
"What?  I've been her for-" he let his sly thoughts get the better of him
"So sorry, I ment to check in, I found that card on the floor". He went through the process with the cat, and used his ex-trainers card to pay for the room.

Once done, they woman behind the counter gave Yosemike a sideways look
"shouldn't you be in the college like the rest of the kids your age?" she asked.  Yosemike was stunned at first, but his quick thinking got the better of him
"I-I graduate... In Bejiing" he said, pretending to not know English very well, and began to back up, making small bows.
"Foreign exchange- I study, study" he said before slipping into the stairwell and going back to his room.

Warren smiled as the Jackal ran past angrily, yet keeping inconspicuous until he had gone before realising that he is getting board of all this talk and started playing with his cards

A tear ran down the cat's cheek. "I remember that..." He looked up at Avine. "You weren't the only one who lost family members on that day... but at least you still have ONE of them." He sniffed sadly, blinking back tears. "Don't hate your father, okay? Never stop loving him, no matter what he says."

[Lokyar Brightmane]

"Sshhhh... I'm here..." Lokyar strokes her head, instinctively trying to comfort her.

"Do you want me to try and heal the pain?"

[Kitane Blackfyre]

She shakes her head to Lokyar's question, but keeps her face hidden as years form at the corners of her eyes. 'I don't hate my father. I've never said that..' She signs, pulling away. 'It doesn't hurt, it's just an echo.. But I'll be okay.' She smiled, tilting her head as she does.

Warren put the cards away, looking beyond mild displeasure
"You're lucky they're all dead" he said walking past Jackal before storming out
"I certainly wish mine were"
And with that he walked to his room across the corridor

Yosemike turned from the window as he heard banging on the hotel door.  Someone was trying to get in and he backed away from the door, as the bolt was suddenly blown off.  The cat from the desk stood there, her fangs abnormally large and she seemed to be hungry
"you don't belong here!" she hissed at Yosemike and began to walk into the room
*Shit!* Yosemike yelled in Japanese as he quickly pieced together a plan. Grabbing a lamp he busted out the winDow, quickly scurrying out and began to climb from window silk to windowsill.  He looked back to see his assailant with her head out the window hissing
*da fuk is going on!?!?* he squealed in fear as he continued to climb to the rooftop

Savel smiled," Don't test me... I'm much stronger than you think.... I'm just saying... don't mess with me or those other people... or you and I will have a problem.. sir..." He put his arms to his sides and stared back at the headmaster with confidence and anger.

She shakes her head to Lokyar's question, but keeps her face hidden as years form at the corners of her eyes. 'I don't hate my father. I've never said that..' She signs, pulling away. 'It doesn't hurt, it's just an echo.. But I'll be okay.' She smiled, tilting her head as she does.

"I know you don't, miss," Jackal said. "I'm just saying that you must always love him, no matter what he does." He pricked up his ears. "Hold on... something's not right... I think it involves that guy from earlier..."

He grinned, putting a paw to his face and sighing. "Right then. Just make sure you keep them in line." He growls, his eyes switching from joking to serious. "And I mean that, or it will cost you your education." He growled slightly.

Avine tilts her head at Jackal and raises an eyebrow.

Yosemike rolls onto the rooftop and sprints as hard as he can, his pursuer now flying with freshly sprouted wings.  He springboards himself with an AC unit and rolls onto another rooftop, narrowly dodging the creature.  Terrified he looks back once and jumps again, but was unaware the next building was too tall.  As he fell down the alleyway, his quick reflexes allowed him to grab onto a clothesline and due to his small size, he hung there by his left paw, panting hard and waiting for the creature to come back
