How do you view your Fursona?

  I know everyone views it differently, some people feel as if they are their Fursona, but put in the wrong body sotra, some think of it as an alternative you who can better represent your true personality (That's my view), that's only a few views, what's your view?

In a nutshell, I am not my fursona, however my fursona is me... savy?
My fusona is simply a metaphorical representation of my personality
Hence it being me, though me not being it.

My fursona is literally just a furry, Ottery version of myself. And also an extension of myself, as well.

This is also why I'm very protective of my fursonas image, and why I'm very picky in the way people visualize it, because it's essentially myself. If that makes sense.

My fursona(s) are pretty important to me, sometimes I see myself as Jovi (my main fursona, a black friesian horse) and sometimes I see myself as Holly. Holly is my secondary fursona and a little bit more sassy than Jovi is because she's a black panther. So if I'm feeling particularly sassy or witty that day I may view myself as Holly rather than Jovi.

The way I've designed my characters, however, is completely different. In total I have 10 characters that are all used for separate things, but mostly role plays or stories. Phantom and Jay were adoptables that I bought from people on FA. Jovi, Holly, Bones, Zamaria, Nash, Thanatos, and Eros are all original characters. The first 5 represent parts of me. Jovi is all of me, Holly is a specific part of me mixed with a bit of all of me, Bones is the cocky smartass part of me, Zamaria is me hyper, and Nash is honestly kind of on the way out of my character list.... But he's the 19 year old irresponsible one. They all have stories.

My fursona is me in furry form I don't see me in real life as my fursona and I don't see my fursona as a different character to me. It's just the furry representation of me in the fandom, like a username on a gaming platform, except more detailed and deeper .

My fursona is not just me, it's a different side of myself.
My fursona represents my playful and childish side, it IS me in every single way I am and want to be and what I enjoy.
My fursona is not just a character or an alter ego, I usually refer to my fursona as "me" or "I" instead of differentiating between the "me me" and the "fursona me". So my fursona is me, my favorite part of myself.

I often tend to talk to myself, almost converse with myself. Those chats with myself are always between the "me" part and the "fox/fursona" part as well. If that can be diagnosed as a split or dual personality I'm unsure and don't really care too much about, but I know I do it and has done so for as long as I can remember. Though back then I didn't call the other part a fox or my fursona but rather just have a nickname for it.

Worth mentioning is that every once in a while I get random urges to do animal stuff like noises and go on 4 legs and chase things (looks at a ball of yarn on my desk~). I also use a different voice and pitch for said fox personality.

See my fursona, on the left? I am World of Warcraft, and my fursona is the Cataclysm expansion pack. He adds everything; new  worlds, new levels, new characters, moves, and abilities.

In non-geek terms, my fursona is a really open version of me. He's me when I don't have anything to hide - he reflects my personality when at home, and my secrets and interests. He's a completely different person from me - like how Cataclysm is quite different from the WoW base set.

I've been meaning to change my fursona design anyway, as he looks really cartoony, and that wasn't a look I was trying to achieve when designing him.

Well obviously you have no idea what my fursona looks like but ill try and describe hiimm.....me.
First off my fursona is pretty much me, furry.
When I picture my other me I see myself being very noble, trustworth, and confident.
I would be standing with my chin up, looking forward with a hundred mile gaze.
I would also have two fangs comeing out of my mouth, maby one of them chiped.
My coat would be light gray with spots of white and long full hair, same colors.
I would be suited up in battle worn templar plate mail(no full helm), classic colors.(white base/red Cross and trim)
A kite shield would be strapped to my left arm and a bastard sword sheath on my back coming up past my right shoulder.(barley)
I would be holding my sword with the blade down in the ground at my feet.

To me my fursona is mainly myself except an anthro otter, but he also adds more. I use him as my RP character, mainly, and he can do things I cannot. In my mind I create stories for him, and he has seen more than I have.

I view my fursona as a more dormant side of my personality. My fursona holds my most energetic and interactive side, while the normal me is semi autistic, calm, and indecisive. So, In a sense, when I'm most social I just let my fursona do the talking
