Furry Defence Force - Adventures (Act 3: The Brink)

*looks around the room for anything that could possibly reveal the information they are looking for. He finds a computer and sits down. He starts going through all his recent files and rummaging through his documents.*
All I can find are funny cat pictures, nothing of use.

[Talos]

With all their collective weapons near the Commandant, he was getting quite nervous. He'll crack sometime...Talos thought. They always do.

"Funny cat pictures?" Talos slid his blade a bit across the Commandant's neck as a bit of blood trickled down, dripping on the floor. "In 10 seconds, I am about to slice your head off and blow your body up with this grenade." Talos pulled out a grenade. "Give us answers! Is this some kind of joke to you? If so, I'm not laughing! I will NOT hesitate to kill you. Stop being stubborn and tell us what we need to know."

The Commandant had cracked. "Okay, okay! I'll tell you guys. Just please don't peel my skin or cut my head off or blow it off or whatever you're going to do!" Talos smirked. "Go on."
The commandant continued. "The reason there are only cat pictures on the computer over there is to hide suspicion. When pushing Start, you should see several folders located in Documents. Look for the one that says "1B" and decrypt it using alphanumeric code. The decryption key is 5 digits. The first is a number, the second is a letter, the third is a number, and the last two are letters, kinda like 1A1AA. I would just give you the key, but I misplaced it. That archive contains everything you need to know. I'm sure a group of geniuses like you can figure it out."

"You get that Almar?"

umm... yes? Ok, so 5 digit key, that means it's a small message right? A brute force attack might work, but that would require trying all possible keys. Do you know if this is a set of coordinates or a message?
*Sigh*
This could be time consuming. Without the key I don't know where to start.

[Talos]

Talos put his sword back and walked up to Almar. "Thanks for you cooperation Commandant, you are free to keep standing there in case we have any more questions for you.
"Get your guns n' blades away from me! I gave you the info, keep those things away from me!"
The commandant said.
"Okay, so Almar, the way he described it wouldn't exactly make it a phrase or a small message. Well, it could, but that would mean one of the numbers would have to stand for a letter, like the numbers 1, 5, and 3, meaning I, S, and E respectively. There's a bit of a low chance those numbers could actually be in the key. If the layout is 1A1AA, that means the first and third sections have to be numbers, and everything else is a letter. We could try a brute force, attack but if that doesn't work, we may have to resort to sequencing, by that, I mean trying each letter/number combination until it works."

I hate being autistic. So if I change this message by changing the first number according to the first digit on the key and the second number according to the second digit on the key etc. I should get a new message. I think I understand this.
*studies the text*

[Talos]

"Er, yeah, I think that's how it works."

"Remember, we still need Aeron to use ASPEN on this cheesecake piece."

aeron turns to look at the others
"ASPEN says  the code is 2H3EZ....it is supposed to spell cheez...she also says the password is non case sensetive, and she is busy downloading the file at the moment, she is also scanning the cheese cake, but she will take a few minutes unless she increases the signal, so if you want things to speed up, i suggest you put on lead underwear or stand back"
aeron walks to the center of the room and sets his com device down, he drags the comandant away and speaks
"ASPEN, projection mode"
a full sized full body version of ASPEN pops up over the com, appearing to stand up, semi-seethrough clothing on aeron looks at her nervously, "um ASPEN 15% transparency" the clothing instantly appears to be more solid, "signal boost to gamma levels"

aeron blushes as the device projects a gamma lazer, connecting to the satelite network
~connection established, voice authorization pin requested~
"aeron blackpaw, code name vladamir romanov, pin #44501000358189 of the northern assassins guild, access code Fibonacci #112358 "
~voice pin and code sequence verified, welcome to the network brother~
at these words, the signal boosts to full strength, creating a small ionization field and burning through the ceiling

"Jeesh..." Cook looks at the hole in the roof and then at Aeron. "Strong thingie, isn't it? How did you get it? You a Future Soldier or something???"

aeron looks at cook as if he just asked the most obvious question in the universe "you insult me, i MADE her"

Blushes. "Sorry... just asking..." Cook walks away quickly in order to search the prison building.

[Talos]

"Thanks Aeron, what would we do without your ASPEN."
The Commadant was still in shock over what Aeron's device did to the roof.
"Almar, hope you got that. Code is 2H3EZ. Cook, slow down! We still gotta get Almar to enter the passcode."

"cook, i meant no offense when i said i felt insulted, just kidding around" aeron looks over to aspen as the data from the scan comes in, "hmmmm....strange...."

Ok, I got some coordinates. There's a convoy carrying the CheeseCake East of here. Ready to move out?

[Talos]

"Heck yeah!"
Talos turns to look at the commandant.
"And what about this guy? We seem to have got all our info out of him. Should we kill him?"
