Furry Defence Force - Adventures (Act 3: The Brink)

*Almar walked to his room, stopped at his computer, and turned on some classical music. He then unloaded his weapons, cleaned them, and flopped onto his bed*

"Well I cleaned it up as best as I could...can I make a reccomendation? She laid down  a napkin  with mathmatic and  schematic scribblings covering the napkin she started pointing and talking excitedly " see is you use the current cooling system with water and replace the pumps with compression turbines and use them to compress atmospheric nitrogen,and ron it through the original heatsink and use a pressure actuated purge valve to purge the used nitrogen!" By  this time she was wagging her tail wildly and excitedly.

[Master Sgt. Ember]

Ember watched everyone walk off, looking around a little confused.


"Well then I guess my team and I will find our own quarters?" She looked around for someone to tell her where to go, but finding nothing, she motioned for her squad to move towards the hangar. Opening the door, and finding a corner of it scarce, they set around, carrying crates of materials. When they placed everything down, they set their suits against the wall and hopped out. Ember stretched.


"Eeerrrggghhh... okay team, lets unload."

[Sn0w]

Snow wandered the FDF headquarters wearily, his original purpose forgotten. He passed through the hangar, and saw the new Steel company in a corner. He lazily made his way over, they looked a little confused and could probably use a little direction. "You guys look a little lost," he said to their leader, Ember.

[Master Sgt. Ember]

Ember turned towards the newcomer, her tank top already greasy from checking up on her suit.


"Well howdy there. Nah, not lost so much as missing the CO of this place." She walked up to the FDF soldier with a paw extended.


"Master Sargent Ember of Steel company"

[Sn0w]

"Agent Snow, at your service," he said, taking the Sargent's paw in his. "If you're looking for a CO you'll want General Anoni, he's probably mulling over plans for the next op. I could take you to his office, if you'd like?" He paused, waiting for Ember's reply.

[Master Sgt. Ember]

"Sounds good. Please do." She looked back to her troop.


"Okay team, get settled. Put up some posters or something. See you in two."


"Lead the way, Snow"

[Sn0w]

"Alright, follow me."
 
Snow led Ember out the hangar doors and across the helipad, walking into the main building. "You guys came just in time back there, I'm sure I'm speaking for the rest of the team by saying how grateful we are." He led Ember down a hall with doors on either side, before rouding a corner and heading up some more stairs. "Sorry this is taking so long. There's probably a shorter route, but I'm still pretty new here too."

[Steine]

Echo nodded slowly. "Okay... I like it, but trust me, If it were up to me, I'd have had that cooling system replaced a very long time ago..." He pursed a finger on the corner of his lips as he examined the napkin.
"We seem to lack the money and resources, though if Delta's new friends would be willing to fund us, then the first thing I'd do is replace the cooling system."
He looked at her and curled the corner of his lip. "What's your name?" He asked curiously, as his right hand was subconciousl plying with a monky wrench.

[Master Sgt. Ember]

Ember laughed.


"Hah, thats a first. Usually when we show up, it means someone is either losing a job, or the enemy is tough enough that normal troopers don't want to fight it cuz they die. That or there is a problem normal troops  can't solve."


She followed behind at a brisk pace.


"But thanks. Its nice for my crew to have some recognition. They don't get much.

[Lance Corpral J.Luther]

Hearing nothing, Delta sighed , walking along the corridor lining his finger along the wall, he wandered the base to get used to the base and where he was going, coming to the door which most of the people were, he was about to step outside, passing by Snow and Zan without a word nor sound, He had cooled off a little now, the smoke gone, as the two passed by him he didnt give a single glance his brother and the rest already engaged in conversation, he simply decided to leave every one be as they were, giving himself time to think, the faint, dim yellow glow from his visor had faded eventually. Turning back, he was about to make way to ...well, wherever the corridor on the left took him.

[anoni]

*Walks into the room with the other squad mates, is in a suit with a 5 gold stars surrounding where the heart is, Anoni looks serious, no smiles, no happiness or joys.*

"You managed to get out of the base, deactivate the satellite, that's extremely well done, but any time for celebration has been tragically short lived."
*Swallows, and pauses for a few seconds*
"As most of you who frequent the furry news would know, there is a large civil war between the foxes and the wolves in the fandom, (In the fox Vs Wolf threads), while us furries squabble we fail to truly grasp the magnitude of our true enemy, there are many organisation that are trying to destroy the furry fandom, and they are making the civil war between the furries considerably worse. I don't think anyone was prepared for what happened."
*Looks down*
"A large scaled bomb has been detonated in a furry community within the united states, and there have been several casualties. Intelligence reports that the bomb originated from an organisation known as CEFK, Cooperation in Eliminating Furry Kind, but we're almost convinced that's not the full story. These terrorist organisations have been popping up everywhere, first there were the guys who stole the cheesecake, then the manufacturer of the Depellis Device and now this. Intelligence believes there is a massive cooperative that is behind all these sub terrorist groups and I fear without the right support, we will be unable to unveil exactly what is going on, whatever it is, it's big and it may be the threat of all furries in furry kind."

*Begins to stroll around*
"I'm giving you a day to prepare for your next mission, I'll update you on how it goes, for now, you enjoy some rest and some training, our next mission isn't going to be like our last 2, it's going to be big, we have to blow this whole thing open. This civil war between the wolves and foxes is going to make it difficult to get the right support in." 


(OOC: BTW, as most of you have probably noticed I'm not that active on this thread, so you guys should try and dynamically push the story when you can, work out who is in charge of who amongst yourselves but I'd refer to your custom ranks haha.)

[Lance Corpral J.Luther]

Clicking down on his comms reseptor Delta listened in.
 "A Civil war eh? Hnhnhn, This should be rather fun..." He mummbled to himself with a slight chuckle.
Suddenly he made hast to his Mecha, Conflict, making his way towards his Brother Echo with a quick and timly pace, interputing rudly whatever conversation he had with the female.
"Alright, Get Conflict Packed with heavy weapons, forget the cooling system we dont have enough time if you listened into comms, Civil war, explosives to a large scale are threatening the scale of it, and remeber that group who stole cheesecake that pissed off command? Their becoming global, Im trusting you to do this right, your the one playing the cards in this war from the start Ech', I hope you do it good... Your my brother after all, and you've never failed me since we first met..." he crouched down as he was talking to his level, he was serious, he never acted like this before unless somthing bad was going to happen...

*Loads his M14 and Makarovs, then straps his new Winchester Bowie knife to his belt*

*Walks down to the shooting range for some target practice*

Ember and Snow walked by the room with General Anoni. She made a sudden stop, and turned into the briefing.


"Wait. Civil war? What? I hadn't heard about that. Where I come from wolves and foxes get along fine. How can there be a civil war?"


She was confused. Back in her home city, many of her friends were wolves and foxes. She herself, as a fox, dated a wolf for a short period. When did this happen?


Ember turned to Anoni.


"General. Master Sargent Ember of the Heavy Infantry division Steel Company, reporting for duty." She made a quick salute.
