I can't really add much to that to be fair and honest...
Surely some people take being a furry very seriously, and some do not. We are a diverse group. Some believe themselves to be Animals in the bodies of Humans, others that they are Animals, a few that simply enjoy the art, a couple that prefer the community... Goodness. To describe "what is the furry fandom" is to ask "what is the nature of humanity?" Humans have nearly infinite variation in preference and desire and that is not changed when a group says "you know what? I'm a furry."
No two people will have the same reason for being a furry.
The fandom is what it is. I can't describe it precisely. We are a community and we share experiences. We have similar likes and dislikes. We disagree, we concur, we enjoy, and we dislike.
