Rules, information and theme have been released(!)


Aloneness and Ventus Fall have decided to work together on an artwork contest. Next Aloneness will pronounce the rules.


Note From Aloneness "Ren":
Konnichiwa, upon finding this topic I have decided to team up with Ventus Fall in the creation of an art tournament here on TFF. This art competition is open to all who wish to partake, and there will be prizes.
 
Rules:
·         You may only submit one work of art per round, after a piece is submitted it may not be submitted in future rounds.   
·         Your submission must be your own artwork, you will be disqualified instantly and banned from re-entering permanently if you are caught submitting stolen, copied or traced artwork.
·         Each artist who wishes to enter the competition must first submit their art piece of choosing before entering in a note/PM to the ‘Contest-leader(s)’. This is so that we can neatly place the entries in one post in a list to keep some order.
·         As this thread is posted on the PG-13 section of the forum, please do not submit artwork with excessive violence, nudity, etc. Treat your art if it was a post, don't go submitting stuff you wouldn't post on a thread.
·         The deadline for all submissions will be announced beforehand. Usually it will be 21 days after the contest starts (a.k.a. 3 weeks).
 
 
Judging:
 
·         Judging will not begin until after the submission deadline.
·         Judging will be either done by a couple of people (not participants of course) or by the ‘Contest-leader(s)’.
 
 
Prizes:
Aloneness will give:
 -First place: 150 Deviant Art Points
-Second place: 100 Deviant Art Points
-Third place: 50 Deviant Art Points
 (For those who do not have dA and have won, you can discuss with Aloneness in what other way you would like to receive your prize.)
 
Ventus Fall will give:
 -First place: drawing of choosing (you may ask me whatever to draw (not sexual themed or such) to my own best abilities, be it digital or traditional).
-Second place: coloured drawing (pencils/markers.)
-Third place: sketch (un-coloured).

Theme of this contest will be:
The Holiday(s).
Ranging from X-mas, to Halloween, to smaller holidays (such as Sint-Maarten or other ones, you name it )


Contest-leader: Ventus-Fall.
Deadline: 7 Januari 2013(!)
By then: Happy New Year everyone

Well, it's past the deadline and only two people actually entered.
Nobody asked for an extenstion of the deadline, and no one has actually let me know wheter or not they still wanted to participate.


It's a shame no one else joined, I looked forward to a big competition.
I will inform everyone later this week what my plans are next and what will happen with the people who entered.

I don't know what else to say, in which case: sorry if this message sounds a little 'empty' for some reason.

Try making the deadline a little longer next time, but my main issue was that I lost my tablet pen. I should be getting a new one by Friday, as one of my best friends bought me a new one yesterday and it shipped today. I want to still be in it, but I really only do traditional badges instead of full blown pictures anymore.

You mean more than 3 months?
I held contests before on deviantart, I thought that was long enough. Well, at least no one ever told me it was too short.


If you still want to be in it, I guess I can extend the dead line, how much time do you think you will need?

I thought this one was only up for a few weeks.  If it was longer than that then I apologize. Around the holidays is tough. I'd still like to be in it, sure. I should have a new tablet pen by Friday. I'll work on a piece then.

OK, I will extend the dealine, not yet known what the new dead line will be, but once annoucned, it'll be a month (four weeks) after I mentioned it in a post.
So I hope more people will join!
