Nova looked back at Jared. "Hopefully..." He then continued speaking into the radio. "Our next move will have to be to scope out the base and make sure that it's defensible. There are bound to be consumers all over here, and hopefully there will be some equipment, or weaponry, or something to help us fight them off or scare them off. I'm also hoping there will be extra supplies and stuff that were stored in there we can use. After we've established ourselves, then we can think about exactly what to do next." He turned off his radio and went back to driving through the snowy wastes.
They had been driving for what Nova swore was more than just a couple miles. He began to have doubts that the fort was really there, but the sign said it had... He was about to radio Himawari and say that they were possibly lost, but just then the humvee crested a hill, and Nova saw to his astonishment a huge military installation laid out in a valley in front of him. There were many buildings scattered around, runways, bunkers, and a tall control tower in the center, all covered in a thin blanket of snow. There was an erie serenity to this place once devoted solely to violence. Carefully he drove down the steep incline and entered the base, the fence and gates to which were long since broken through or cast aside. He kept going straight down the main road, towards the large three story building near the entrance which looked like a good a place as any to start. He pulled up next to the somewhat crumbly, but still very sturdy looking, beige concrete structure and turned off the engine. "Well..." he said with a sigh of relief, "we're finally here."
