Hi nice furry people of the interwebs!
I am Lux-Nero, currently just a dood trying to enjoy his time on this earth the best he can. I don't know what to say here other than a pleasure to meet you all.
Oh! I don't really have an fursona yet, but if I had a spotlight on me and I was pressured to say what animal I relate to, I'd have to say that I would identify with an armadillo.
Why an armadillo?
Well, its actually a story that my dad told me when I was still a little kid - Back when I was a little kid, he was coming home from work one night, his car currently in the shop. As he was walking, he came across a rather large armadillo that was just looking at him. At first, my old man decided to walk around the armadillo - big mistake.
The moment he took another step, the armadillo chased after him with surprising speed. Chased him all the way home actually (persistent little bugger), and I was waiting outside for my dad when all of a sudden he came running up, scooped me in his arms, and got us both in the house just in time to close the door on the armadillo before it got in.
Through the window, I just watched as the armored animal stalked our porch for a couple of hours, its eyes just gazing at me. When I learned about armadillos, I naturally assumed that they had the passive nature of that of a turtle and would curl up in danger. Apparently not this one! Like I said, I don't know if an armadillo is my animal of choice, but this story has stuck with me for a number of years, and if I had to choose, that'd be a fursona I'd create for myself...
Which leads to an interesting question about me you might be wondering - Why do I have an inked picture of a canine/wolf character for my avatar? Well...
I am an artist, and I'm guessing a ton of you guys are also artists here so that's probably nothing special, but still, until I decide on a fursona of my own, I decided to use a character that I drew up for a webcomic I'm working on.
I am a webcomic artist (I just started in the summer, so I'm still shaky about this stuff), but I have two ongoing webcomics. One is... Well, its hard to describe, but its not really a furry comic, its name is Vexing Gears and it was the first comic that I managed to get the first chapter officially done.
The other comic that I'm working on, and probably more relevant to this forum's tastes, is called Paranormality. The story itself focuses around a young man (yes a human) named Truesdale who's having issues with his bills - Mainly, he can't pay them for his in home business. So, he decides to rent out the spare room he has in his surprisingly large building. And who rents this room? I'll give you guys three guesses...
And the first two don't count!
The characters who rent the room are a pair of college Beastmen girls - A blackfooted weasel girl named Ashe and her best friend a snow leopard nicknamed JJ.
Now, I know what you're thinking, this is probably a slice of life comic - Something that a lot of Furry Webcomics have... hehehe...
WRONG!
You see, Truesdale's out of home business is that he's a Paranormal Investigator! And in a town that has... Oh, let's see... Slenderman sightings! Mothman maulings! And Big Foot leaving Big Footprints - Things aren't as they seem in San Aparicyn.
...
Okay... That was more of an advertisement rather than an introduction...
But at the moment, that's what's going on in my life at the moment, and I'm more focused on that (well that and shopping for the holidays).
In any case, I hope to have a good time here, meet some new people, maybe learn some stuff about me, and improve myself as an artist.
Great to be here!
