Why is that animal your fursona?
« on: December 16, 2012, 03:38:29 PM »
I dont know if theres a topic on this already or not (i hope not for the sake of my embarrassment  X3 )

A fox is my fursona because:
1.) Its my favorite animal
2.) I love to sneak around and just play
3.) I would so be a candid animal, but not domesticated...

Hybrid with wolf
4.) Thats my attitude towards people I dont know
5.) I am protective
6.) I am dominant

So whats your reasons for your fursona being, well, YOURS?  :/

I am a striped hyena.

1. I like my solitude, but sometimes I like to hang with others, and my mate.
2. I'm loyal to my mate.
3. I don't like to share my food, and am pretty food aggressive.
4. My bark is bigger than my bite.
5. But my bite is still pretty big.
6. I like stripes.

I am a fox because:
- I use sly and cunning on a daily basis
- I do indeed find pleasure in sneaking around
- I'm British
- I am wise and clever
- I am adaptive

I'm a fox because...
- I'm very sly and physically flexible
- I'm wise and clever
- When I first thought up my fursona and was thinking of what species would fit me best, the fox just popped up in my head and somehow just felt right even if I didn't really know much about foxes!
- Most/all personality tests usually says fox XD

As for the Cutefox part...
- I LOVE fennecs
- The furry side of me is quite young and thus I felt a small, cute and innocent character was the most fitting. This also reflects the way my inner mindset I often like to describe as such.
- It's more personal and unique to me.. it's ME.

I'm a wolf because:

1.) I'm misunderstood, more of a coincidence then a reason
2.) I'm not very trusting to people that I don't consider very good friends, not that I'm spiteful to those I don't open up to or don't trust fully, but I'm wyry of them. To those who have gained my trust however I've very loyal to, even willing to lay down my life so that they could live if the situations demanded it.
3.) Pack mentality, as mentioned above, I'm the kind of person that will stand by those I consider my "family" threw thick and thin.
4.) Wolves are one of my favorite animals
5.) The movie "Princess Mononoke" had some influence in all my RP characters when I was younger and it continues to be.
6.)  I've always admired wolves and studied them since I was little, even getting the chance to come face to face with a wolf (Not in a zoo or anything like that I might add or behind any kind of protective fence, I actually got pet it)
7.) The not wolves dogs are descendents of wolves, I rescue dogs from bad owners, and off the streets.

I'm a wolf because:

1. I'm fairly removed from other people and I don't make myself known unless I have a reason to.
2. I don't have many friends, but the ones I do have I share a pack mentality with and cherish greatly.
3. I'm very loyal to those whom I love and will do anything for them.
4. I can be very aggressive and loud when pursuing my goals, but very quiet and affectionate otherwise.
5. I love the cold, forests, and open plains.
6. Though I am a canine, I prefer greatly to be wild and free than to be domesticated.

I am part dragon because:

1. Each dragon is unique and different, and my dragon side expresses a more creative aspect of me.
2. Dragons are mystical and mysterious, not held to normal rules and expectations, like I prefer not to be.
3. I've always had a fascination with reptiles and dragons. It just feels right.

For a long time, I figured myself a pure ferret: playful and fun, but still troublesome and bitey when I'm not in a good mood. However, I have recently found that I have a sort of empathy with the laid-back cat, so I'm a hybrid of the two. A carret. Let the jokes begin. ;P

While I'm a fox but I also part with the shadow as it not really a power but a being for me.
FOX:
Just plain and simple, They are awsome and can't really explain as everyone who know me alway said that I like a fox to them
SHADOW
something I had alway enjoy.
I have alway wish that I can be in the shadow as I hated the light
So after while, I mix them together and got a shadow fox

Well, I am caught between this awkward phase where I have two characters that I guess are my fursonas. I have one that is more personal that is more of a 'keep to myself' character that I heavily identify with and another that is more 'for playing with others in the community.'

My 'play' character is an English Bull Terrier. I chose that breed because like most, people, we can identify with and see much of ourselves in our canine companions. I generally prefer domestic breeds over the wild look of say, wolves, because I feel they have more of a variety in appearance. Physically, I chose the English Bull Terrier because they are generally thick dogs and I am what people like to delicately call, "big boned." They have short fur (I keep my hair short, generally in a mohawk) and sensitive skin (whoops I have that too). They are also supposed to stay active or they can easily gain weight (guess what? I share that too, WHOA.).

Below are some quotes that I have read that describe the temperament of English Bull Terriers that I feel also apply to / describe me personality wise.
  • The Bull Terrier is sweet-tempered, yet also rowdy and clownish, full of fire and determination.
  • A firm hand and an assertive demeanor are essential if the Bull Terrier is not to run riot. They are also fiercely protective, although comprehensive socialization at an early age will prevent them from becoming over-protective and neurotic.
  • Some Bull Terriers are enthusiastic "talkers" who grunt and mumble to themselves.
  • If ignored, Bull Terriers will become bored, and mischief will surely follow.
  • Bull Terriers look imposing, making efficient deterrents, but are usually non-aggressive to strangers.
  • Bull Terriers can be strong willed and stubborn with a mind of their own. They can be manipulative, willful, and obstinate until you prove yourself to them.
  • When Bull Terriers romp, they do so with great vigor.
  • The Bull terrier is a very intelligent dog and will learn who he or she needs to listen to and which family members they can ignore or respond in a limited way to. The Bull terrier often will simply ignore the commands of those it seems as "below" it on the family hierarchy, so everyone must work with the dog.
  • Bull Terriers are generally people loving dogs, though if not socialized properly, they can be suspicious of everyone.
  • Bull Terriers are also more likely to have metal illness, and can generally be impulsive and obsessive.
And as I generally say... Who doesn't love my egg head, huh?

At the risk of sounding mary-sue, my fursona is a fox as well. A red fox, to be exact! :3 However, she is still in development. I may make her some form if hybrid, or change her species altogether. Who knows what the future may hold, heh.

I chose the fox because I've always identified with the fox, I guess. And I just like foxes a lot. They're great. XD
