What is your favourite weapon in games?

Mine might by the Cerebral Bore from Turok, it's a weapon that drills into peoples heads then explodes! That or the Portal gun :3

I have many, but some of my definite favorites are from the Ratchet and Clank series. The RYNO, Supernova, any of the ones that turn enemies into farm animals or penguins... good times.

I have numerous. Lightsaber, obviously. Blackstar from Mass Effect 3, a Gravity Hammer from Halo Reach, the machine gun from Bioshock, Wabbajack from Oblivion, and the MAC Gun from Halo Reach.  :3

Certainly the Energy Sword, as well as the Lightsaber. But I also have a serious affinity for the Halo Sniper, Line Gun and/or Pulse Rifle in the Dead Space games, the Daedric Sword in Skyrim, and lastly, the Hunting Rifle in Fallout New Vegas - full up on weapon mods, of course.

Mines would be the M16 from CoD4, the MP7, MSR and MK14 from CoD MW3, the Gravity Hammer and sniper from Halo Reach and the rocket launcher (I'm a noob with it xD), the shotgun, not so much the energy sword, the dual wielded Plasma Pistol and Magnum from Halo 2. :3

I gotta go with the Assassins' hidden blade. It may not be all-powerful, but it's given me the most "satisfying" kills in any of the games I've played. And I personally prefer blades over guns.

The Portal gun is either tied or a close second to it though, if it counts as a weapon.

Very hard choice but a quick list of the top weapons would be this,
-Hidden blades from assassins creed.
-The melee attachments in Dead Space 3 (All of them are SWEET)
-The contact beam from Dead Space 2 and 3 (Mostly 2)
-Energy Sword from Halo
-The switch blade from Dishonored
