Paws on the ground!

Hey everybody,
My name's Todd, you can call me that or Kilroy - whatever. Heck, I'm used to being called McCabe, my last name, so I'll respond to that too. I've been a furry for a long time, but I discovered the fandom about seven years ago. My fursona is a red fox - the fox is my favorite animal, and coincidentally, my name in Latin translates into Fox. I'd like to start going to meet ups and cons, but there aren't  many furries in Alaska. Sometime in the future, I'd like to have a fursuit, but for now, at least I have a tail! I'm pretty new to the whole scene, even though I've been a furry for years - I just kinda stood back and appreciated the scene, but never delved into it. To be honest, I've never role-played before, but I'm up to trying it. Really, I've never used forums for social purposes before, and usually just use forums for knowledge and research - so if I seem overly formal, it's just old habits.

Other than that, I'm an airsofter and blank-fire reenactor. I portray the 5/7 CAV, 1970 and I love the whole Vietnam Conflict time frame - music, movies, cars, babes, fashion, and just about everything else. My musical tastes include classical, jazz, blues, rock, funk, metal, and alternative. I'm currently a senior in highschool, but I've already enlisted as an Infantryman in the U.S. Army. I'm going to basic training in July. I write a little, and draw occasionally - I don't think I'm that bad, but I'm a perfectionist, so by the time I get it right, the paper is destroyed from all the erasing. I play first-person-shooters on X Box, but I only play when my battle buddies are online.

I hope to get to know some of you, and dive a little deeper into the fandom and have a little fun!

Nice to meet you, I'm rather new to the place too. It's only been two months since I've really gone into the furry culture, instead of sitting there on my own, and it's a great group, though eah group has it's bad apples
And tbh, I've done my share of RP but barely any directly furry based, so I'd love to give that a go if you're ever looking for someone

I hear ya'. I think it will be quite some time before the possibility of me being able to meet anyone on the board in person (furson?). I'm in Alaska, and then when I get back to the lower 48 in five months, I have a few months of Army training, and then maybe. Luckily, I'll be at Ft. Benning, Georgia, and I have a friend that lives in Atlanta, so I can stay at his place for Furry Weekend Atlanta. Huzzah! So if anyone goes to that, I'll hopefully be there in 2014.
