Uh, Cif?  I hadn't really registered it before, but using a Tomahawk can come off really badly.  Tomahawks were only used by certain Native American tribes, and although I'm not sure EXACTLY which, it was a plains tribe.  Thowing it in because it's cool looking isn't going to get the same "Eh" as a broadsword.  It's a type of cultural appropriation and, if anyone that has roots in the tribe saw that, would immediately drive someone off.  Is the character or are you part of that?  Cause if not, it'd otherwise probably be best to change it to something less likely to set someone off.

I meant it's like a hatchet-thing. But tomahawk seemed to be the appropriate name...

He's not actually "Hearing" it... he just feels something because he's so in-tune with nature.




And that amulet's not quite right about Ash not being "important"... by which i mean to say that if a guy can hide from three spirits until a amulet tells one of them, that could be helpful later.

Cifero, Katka said NO.  It is her character, her plot/character device.  If she wants it work one way and you another, you ASK FIRST, not simply state.  We had a fight about this in Darkness.  Trying to dictate what happens with another person's character will get you in A LOT of trouble, if only with me.  I know I'm not a GM.  I know I can't play police here.  But that?  That's disrespectful to others.  ALWAYS ASK, NEVER FORCE.  It's basic consent.

You can say what you want Aldrea, DM or not you can always voice your opinion regarding other people's actions if you think its needed. Generally I ask that people dont say things on my behalf, but what you said fairly well represents my thoughts...

With regards to what both you and Aldrea have said Cif, I simply have to agree with her in that you ask first when it comes to something like this. There is a reason why most RPs have 'no godmodding' as one of the first rules set out. And it is simply much more polite anyway.

I would pull you up on that, saying that the only mention I could find in your character sheet regarding this is:

Has enhanced agility and strength due to his connections to nature

Also it doesnt really make much sense... How does a connection to nature allow you to feel the presence of a fragmented spirit? Just getting some vague sense that something isnt right like Kittenpillar has been doing makes more sense.

Anyway, before you edited your post (which I only just noticed you did) you didn't make it sound like that was the case, as you literally said that he heard it. I'm fairly ok with it so long as he is just getting some sort of feeling, in the same way that Tetron can sense something strange, but cannot directly hear it and isn't sure what it actually is. I'm fine with that,what I'm not fine with is you being able to telekinetically read thoughts that I have specifically said can only be heard by my character...

Like Aldrea said, it kind of ruins the whole plot device if you just come in and go "ehrmahgerd, she is possessed by another spirit!" as soon as you enter

The Amulet cares not for how you perceive yourself. You may think that you are important, but clearly the fragment of a dark one held in the obsidian shard thinks you are nothing to be concerned about

I should probably make it clear: The detection of lives is an ability all spirits (And some non-spirits) have, however the ability rarely has so much specifity as to detect telepathy between two creatures. The few who can do that have studied and built up upon this ability and little else. Even those with fairly standard life detection powers (Such as Tetron) Would not even notice a conversation based between the minds of two seperate creatures. They would be able to detect the lives creating the messages though.

Naturally, spirits are much better at using this ability in their realm: Tetron would be able to sense both the amulet, Katka, and even hear whisperings of their conversation IF they were in his river. I also agree against the godmodding.

If you wish to have the life-detection ability, then put it in your character sheet, SPECIFICALLY.
