Howdy! My name's Arylett, and I'm just looking for a place to hang out and make new friends, pretty much. I thought, hey, I like me some anthro creatures. So I did a Google search, and I found this here place. I'm hoping to make a new home on the internet, as my attempts to make others have been less than successful. It's easy to just... sink into inactivity and get bored of a place.
This looks like a nice little place you guys have here though. I've read the rules and I'm all ready to go! Now, you probably want to know a bit more about me, eh?
My profile says it all well. You can get the long version there. But I'll give you the short version: 21 year old furry with a Doglike fursona. It is of a species I created called Messengers. Still working on an adequate reference for mine. I'm very obsessive about getting it right, so I don't have one just yet. Not a proper one. Though I do have an unfinished version. (Which again, is linked on my profile) I haven't really participated much in the fandom in spite of calling myself a furry for nearly a year and barely know much about it. To be honest, I really used to just dislike the entire thing. But as I was drawing my own personal sona, it became gradually more humanoid over the years (started off feral)... until I realized that I did indeed like that sort of thing, what I didn't like was just the art style that a lot of people seem to use. (That animeish style.) I'm very picky about which furries I like. But I do like them nonetheless.
Speaking of my fursona, I do not think of it as a character. But rather, just me. It's just basically me as a Messenger. So she is also called Arylett. I consider my sona to be the truest representation of myself, even beyond my physical human body. (Not that it isn't a good representation. It certainly is! The fact that my sona just heavily resembles it reflects that)
I also like RPGs such as Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, Kingdom Hearts, and Pokemon. I also quite enjoy the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic series. And I am big on roleplaying, drawing, and writing as well.
Oh and let me tell you this right now. (Though if I stick around long enough, this will probably be the first thing you all learn about me from any amount of speaking one-on-one) My favorite color is red. And it is simply more than a favorite color to me. This color represents me and everything I've been since I was a young child. It has been the one constant in my life that is never changing: I love the color red. I don't consider it a trivial matter. Which sounds silly, but well, I am kind of crazy anyway.
