I'm just glad there are family-friendly furries.

At first, all I'd heard of were the "adult" kind, ahem, ahem!

Day to night, Dark to light,          In your mind, walk through time
Flow the sands of time...             Back to better days...
Let the years, like the gears        Memories, like a dream,
Of a clock, unwind...                   Wash tears away...

Like a star in the sky,                 Cast away your old face,
Darkness can't reach you,           Full of gloom and spite...
Light the night, Joy is light           With this mask, I'll ask to
'Til the new dawn...                     Borrow your light...

My boyfriend is close friends with two "adult" furries..
I told him about this site and his first reaction was "You? Really? Well a tail could work-"
"NO!!!!"
>.<
You don't do that to my Tabz :(

But yes, long story short I'm glad there are others out there who always felt a little more inclined to animalistic behavior n_n I is not alone

I do A LOT of dog like stuff. I'll growl, tilt my head, whimper, go on all fours..... Even when I yawn, I have these weird way of stretching Ny tongue out the way a dog does. I tend to do all of it without really noticing it, too. When I was little (ages 3-6-ish) I even used to kind of 'roleplay' as a dog around the house. I don't know why, I guess I was always a furry at heart.

I do some things. I tilt my head when confused, I jump on a bed and go on all-fours, and, only to people I know, I scratch doors instead of knock.

I also scratch doors, especially when I want my sister to get out of the bathroom so I can use it.

I'll tilt my head too when I'm listening to someone.

I walk on my toes, especially when I run.

I'll snuggle up and roll around on my back when it's cold and I'm just lying in bed. Mostly because my boyfriend thinks it's adorable.

And yeah,Nimian,I roleplayed as a dog too when I was small.

You guys just reminded me.. When I was little I used to role play around the house a lot. Okay.. I still do :P
But when I had my first day of primary school (I must've been about five) my mum sat me down to give me The Talk.
"okay Tabz, try not to pretend to be a cat while at school, you might make it hard for your teacher to teach."

Some of it sunk in, because when I got home my reply was "don't worry mum, I didn't pretend to be a cat today. I was a Guinea-Pig!"

About 1/5 of my personality is Jake when I'm at school. Then when I get home, Jake takes over 3/4 of my personality.

I just realized how my little sister "roleplays" as a dog all the time, exclusively loves animals, and even has fox ears. I might have a furry sister coming out of the closet. ^^

Furries don't come out of the closet as furries, if that's what you mean >.>

That's like coming out of the closet as a, I don't know, video game fan.

More like coming out of the closet as a Call of Duty fan. People are going to complain about your tastes, but it's just going to be even weirder if you make a big event out of it. Neither will solicit more than an "Oh, okay then." out of anybody these days.
