He smiled, but his eyes and voice retained their darkness. "Well, I'm sure the guests deserve to know the truth, but I have a hotel to run. Imagine how the guests would feel if they thought you were going to do that again. You could tear one of their heads off."

"I don't know. Whatever it is, it's stopped for now." Nyx looked down at her plate and reluctantly picked up a piece of fruit.

Nyxlie sighed and looked at the doorway out of the dining room, "I really don't like this place." With that, Nyxlie downed the rest of her champagne.

"Hey... err... I know this might sound strange but you wouldn't happen to have an extra bed in your room, would you?" Nyxlie asked Nyx, looking down at her plate.

He shrugged sarcastically. "Alright then, have it your way. Go into the dining hall and tell everyone about your sisters little breakdown, or whatever it was." He smiled widely. "I know one of them has a gun. She doesn't strike me as the violent type, but if she felt threatened, who knows? Or maybe one of the other guests will get there hands on it?"

He smiled. "I'm sorry, I'm just under alot of stress. YOU try managing a hotel in the middle of nowhere." His voice was back to normal, and it seemed his anger had subsided. "Do what you think is best."

"Yeah, the manager gave me a two bed suite. I don't know why, but he did. It's good to know that I'm not the only one that this place gives the creeps... There's something wrong about it... And I know this may sound strange, but..." Nyx stopped and shook her head, "Nevermind. I'd sound like a fool."
