Word of caution... The subjects know one another as they attended classes.

Whilst Nine could have been confined more, they would have let him with others as the subjects need to be able to infiltrate and interact with others to fullfill their functions.

@ Fitz & Alex - Sorry to intervene with that scene, but the guards underwent a group berating the previous night as a result of their increasing malicious violence against the Subjects.  As I mentioned in an OOC post a while back, the doctors may turn a blind eye to the occasional rougher handling of a Subject, but outright violence that leaves lingering injuries that could interfere with their testing of the Subjects is a huge problem.  So naturally, a doctor seeing the abuse occurring again would intervene before it has a chance to go too far.  Plus, the guard should have been using rubber bullets or tranquilizers, but certainly not live rounds.

If it wassn't that I did not have much time, I would have intervened myself... The shere billions of dollars worth of machinery that could be destroyed is enormous!

Alone for that fact the guard would be executed!

If you had read my post you'd have seen they were wearing suits that picked up laser bursts much like laser tag and sent a signal into their pain receptors equivalent to a gunshot. You could reason they stopped it because they were cheating the system to torture them without causing injury

They were in a testing room with only two points of entry, one being the guards entrance and the other being the subject entrance that still had two guards at it. You would have been spotted at either entrance

Intervened with Hawke, who is a doctor himself. So that wouldn't have brought up any confusion cause of it then.

Ah, I missed that detail.  But yeah, it still would have played out the same given that the guard was taking it to an unnecessary extreme.
