Changing your fursona as you see fit...
« on: September 28, 2013, 02:09:27 AM »
Early on, have you done it? I have changed my animal and many aspects of my fursona. I feel more like a husky would fit me, and I have changed many emotional aspects. I was wondering if any of you have made changes like that.

All I've ever changed about my fursona is its species, really. I've had now three different species, though never more than one at a time.

I guess my species has changed with the passage of time and different experiences and all that, each of them sorta covers a different chapter in my life I suppose.

I have made quite a few changes over time. Originally, Almar was black, grey, and white, but I decided I wanted to be more unique, so I changed to brown, tan, and maroon. I've noticed that the more I draw Almar, the more details I decide to alter. For example, my ears used to be maroon on the inside, but now they're tan.

I think many furs will change various aspects of their fursona from time to time. I used to be a fox, until I found out ringtails existed and thought they were the cutest things ever. XD But when I researched them a bit more, I felt like I was more similar to a ringtail than a fox. :) So I went ahead and made the change.

Depends what you start counting as afurry >.> I guess my "furriness" kinda stems from my childhood, so yeah.? :P Pretending to be an animal used to be the only game I played when I was on my own.
When I was really little, about three-ish, I was a diplodocus. Aaand then I got over my dinosaur stage :P and became a tigress. That lasted until I was seven, and discovered the book White Fang and it was all about wolves from then on.
However more recently, as it became less of a game and more of an extension of my personality, I had to admit Tabz fits me much better.
Which is weird.
Cause I really don't like cats as a species :P
However there's a couple I know well and adore :)
I'm just too much of a cat myself to change now >.>

Believe it or not, I used to be a Arctic Fox called Colin Snowfox. However I felt a mantis better fit my personality, and they are just really cool insects. Many people have changed they're fursonas, it's almost like changing your clothing style. You get bored or tired of one and get rid of it, moving on to something bigger and better.

My very first fursona was a tiger, I remember. Then I had a coyote one for a loooooong time. And then I was a bearded dragon, although now I'm more or less set on the thought of having two fursonas to best represent the two different sides of my personality. Maybe a wolf and a lion cub.

People change. Personalities develop, opinions and thoughts change. Thus, fursonas change accordingly.

I've actually not changed species or anything like that, just her appearance. :q

I totally agree on that, when people change so does the fursona. :)

I've always been a dragon ^.=.^

The only thing that I have changed is the clothing. I kinda change it to fit my mood more than anything....

I am still developing Eon's character.  There have been many changes that include his looks and personality.  He is my first and will be the only fursona I ever have.  He is someone who I wish I could be and strive to attain that position.  Even though he is a Wolf, he looks like an evil chibi, but is the complete opposite of evil and he only looks the way he does is because Eon is an extension of me and my torn past.  He is still a WIP until I am satisfied.
Once I finish developing his personality I will fill out that 'About' section.
