I have decided to open up an RP thread set in my original world known as Garreon. I am opening this world in an effort to share it with the people on this forum.


Guidelines


First of all the setting. This takes place on Garreon, particularly in the countries of Vulpyre and Luprecia. Technology is semi-modern.
(e.g. they have computers but primarily use swords. They do have guns though, but only pistols or other one-handed guns.) Magic plays a big role in this world so magicians, especially those that specialize in other talents besides magic are common, and those who aren't wizards usually know a few spells to help themselves anyways. Unfortunately this also means Dark Lords and other evil wizards are abound as well. The two countries have been at war for centuries and only recently have made any sort of permanent peace. I want to see how you people interact with this world and the people that live there.


Section 1. Character Creation.


Now let's describe how I want you to make a character.


Name

First of all you need to name your character and decide if it is a boy or a girl. Also how old is he or she? (15 is considered adult in this world.)


Then you need to decided race. This world supports 5 different peoples.


Foux: The anthro foxes


Felin: The anthro cats


Raucoon: The anthro raccoons


Luporo: The anthro wolves


Human: Duh. For those of you people who want to have a human character.


You can also be a hybrid between any of these races as well. (If this is the case state both races then hybrid. e.g. Foux-Felin Hybrid.)




Next describe your character's appearance. This means what their body is like. (e.g. body type, are they wide, short, tall, fat.) Also describe fur hair (separate things here. Fur describes fur on body. Hair means what's on his head. They are also able to be different colors from each other. e.g. my character has orange fur but scarlet hair.) Please go into detail about any markings such as tattoos, scars etc. Also natural eye color as well.


Next is Outfit. What does your character wear commonly. This is not just clothes but certain accesories too such as glasses, piercings, and carrying devices such as backpacks. If left blank, we will assume your character is naked.


Then personality. Describe your character's ethics, morals and generally how he or she acts around people or when alone.


Favored Weapon. This is basically what weapons are your character comfortable using. (These include throwing weapons such as shuriken.)


Abilities. What can your character do that sets him apart from a normal person. This can mean magic, certain talents and learned skills or some other obscure thing that I currently can't think of.


Extras. Just what it means. Any other information that doesn't quite fit elsewhere. This can be left blank if you wish. Here's an example character sheet.


Name: Syaoran Kitesun
Gender: Male
Race: Foux
Personality: Happy-go-lucky young man who is somewhat clumsy and easily distracted, but when in combat is fierce, determined and focused.


Appearance: Orange fur, Scarlet Hair. Wiry body build so he is thin. He has some muscle to him but is in no way comparable to a model. He has green eyes and black tips on his slightly longer than normal ears. He has a white tipped orange tail. His claws have been sharpened.


Outfit: Long-sleeved purple shirt under a gray cloak with a magic circle, clasped together with a ruby talisman. He wears two more on both wrists as bracelets. His pants are white and he wears black shoes.


Favored Weapon: Prefers to use longswords but can use daggers effectively.


Abilities: Casts a variety of elemental and physical enhancement magics to assist his fighting style. Is ambidextrous but primarily right-handed. Is skilled in acrobatics.


Extras: His parents were killed when he was 3 and it traumatized him for life.




Section 2. Posting Rules


1. You can have up to 3 characters. (I as the GM have to control all NPCs, though I will usually only control up to 3 or 4 at a time) You must have data for them all.


2. Please tell me who is doing what at which specific time. (e.g. Bob does this and Amy waved and said, "Hi Bob!")


3. No asterisk actions. (e.g. *kicks Bob* Not allowed. You must be descriptive like 'Amy kicked Bob with all her might.' Not necesarily like that, but no asterisks please.)


4. No double posting.


5. If interacting with NPC or environment, wait for GM (i.e. me) to respond. If interacting with another person's characters wait for them to respond. Exception is if something happens to you before you get a reaction to your action.


6. All OOC comments will be posted in the companion thread (i.e. here)

Name: Alex "Fawxe" Jace

Gender: Male

Race: Foux-Felin Hybrid

Age: Late teens - early twenties

Personality: Alex is an off kilter guy hailing from somewhere in the border region but has moved farther away from Luprecia since an attack on his village when he was young. Details on the attack are unclear as Alex never talks about it. Whenever questioned about it Alex reaches for an old pocket watch and once he's checked the time wanders off muttering about "things to be done" or else just ignores the question. Normally very sociable he only seems to get wary around Luporo, in which case he doesn't watch them directly but puts himself in a place where he can see them without focusing on them.  Dressing in somewhat loose, flowing clothes that cover up the markings on his fur, the colorful wardrobe he possesses tends reflect his general mindset: bright and varied.

Appearance: Alex is descended from a Foux from a plains village who would regularly cross the border to investigate other tribes. After being caught a Felin hailing from the mountains a clumsy explanation and a drunken night of talk led to a tryst that ended with Alex's birth. More Foux in appearance some questions were raised but an explanation of the nature of the father quieted any worries. Alex grew up knowing of his hybrid nature and though being born with a lean, agile Foux body living in the mountains boosted his endurance greatly giving him a lean body but with good tone making his physical attributes well balanced. His fur is a deep royal blue with white markings starting at the top of his neck. As mentioned earlier he dresses in loose, flamboyant clothing including a robins egg blue scarf that covers up the upper most markings on his body. His hair is snow white with cobalt blue tips.

Common Outfit: Brown pants that are light, but tough enough to withstand normal tears. His top assortment varies between combinations of pink, green, orange, yellow, and the occasional red. All assortments are a loose undershirt, a brown leather vest, and a loose ascot. On nice occasions he may wear a fancier style over shirt.

Favored Weapon: Alex has a kinship with many styles of weapons but especially likes his long tapering scimitar with a downward curve. When in a special sort of rage he may go for his lucerne hammer if he has it on him. Hands down though his primary method of assault is the elemental magic he possesses. Preferring lightning and fire he is also very adept with water while the others he makes more general practice with.

Abilities: When using his scimitar or magic (or both if pushing himself seems necessary) Alex makes use of his speed to artfully weave in and out of battle and harms-way respectfully. His affinity towards fire and lightning is believed to be from his father while his affinity for ice was from his mother. Only his father made use of magic but it's believed that his mother's people have a great potential for it, albeit a rarely tapped one.

Extras: The fate of his mother is unknown after the attack and his father rushed off to find her once he was sure his son was safe and in good hands.

[Reality Glitch]

Name: Eli
Gender: Male
Race: Human-Luporo Hybrid
Age: early-mid 20's
Personality: A bit complex, most of the time he is a mild spaz, some times he gets really spazy, really relaxed, or is just spacing-out; he can be serious, he just doesn't look like it when he is.
Appearance: From the waist up he's pretty much a hairless ape w/ pointy ears and claws instead of fingernails, the waist down, he's got fur and walks on the toes of his clawed paws an has a fluffy tail and all that.  His hair is braided into a rat tail and it and his fur and eyes are a nice deep brown color. (He can also make really "puppy-eyes".)
Common Outfit: Wears the same hoodie shown in my avatar w/ a white shirt underneath and blue jeans.
Favored Weapon: A ringblade.
Abilities: Telekinesis and Skilled sketch artist.

Race: Human

Age: Late twenties

Personality: Serious and critical. If somebody around him makes a mistake, they are going to know about it. Rarely laughs and generally to the point.

Appearance: Tall and, from what you can tell, well built. Good posture.

Common outfit: A white and gray armored robe similar to this one :.
Wears dark fur gauntlets and black leather boots. You can see none of his skin.

Favored weapon: Frost magic, capable of fireing out sharp bolts of ice as well as a freezing blast of cold air. Also carries a polished steel staff and a small dagger.

Abilities: Frost magic and intimidation.

Name: Abbygale "Shadow" Rose
Gender: Female
Race: Felin
Age: 15
Personality: Distant, cold and almost disdainful of life, but extreme loyal and protective to the few she lets into her circle.

Appearance: Short and small standing a mere 4'5 and weight in at 95lbs, Abby is the picture of a lithe acrobat. Her shoulders are small, her chest is flat, and her body shape is almost featureless. Her  tail is about as long as it she is tall, helping her balance. It starts thick at her tailbone then slowly and smoothly thins down to a fine tip and as if to accommodate her tail her hips are very wide compared to her shoulders and waist. Her fur is a dark grey with several lighter strips on her back and tail. Green eyes peer out from underneath her waist length black hair, that has several crimson highlights in it


Common Outfit:Black cargo pants and sleeveless top, normally she wears a pitch back hooded robe over that attire.


Favored Weapon: Dual Kukri's, The black steel seems to steal light from around them looking at them for to long makes you feel uneasy, you cant place why the simple black steel makes you feel like your being watched but they do.(She has enchanted them with shadow magic)


Abilities: Shadow magic, Abbygale as earned her title as a shadow-weaver despite only being 15,  she pushed herself to train harder
and harder until she reached her current level. Able to manipulate shadow to become invisible, steal light from areas or solidify them into weapons or traps to incapacitate her enemies.


Extras: She is blind and uses sound,smell and magic to perceive the world around her. She has been trained since she was old enough to walk to be a hunter and assassin.

Race: Foux
Age: 15
Personality: Although he sounds sarcastic, he doesn't joke much. He is neutral most of the time and would only react if he thinks it's necessary. Also prefers to stay out of crowds

Appearance: 5'7" with a thin body. Most of his body parts are rotten because he is partly the product of necromancy. He covers up most of them with clothing but would sometimes expose some of his bones unwillingly. Though he has a regenerative ability, it would take him centuries for him to return to his normal looks

Common outfit: Wears a white t-shirt along with a scarf to cover up bits of his exposed spine. He wears loose running pants to provide easier movement

Favored weapons: dual daggers that he rose alongside as he was resurrected and a revolver.

Abilities: He couldn't really die from pain and he doesn't bleed due to the fact that his blood dried off years ago. He also doesn't need most of his vital organs because his soul is chained to the body. apart from that he's pretty much normal.

Extras: He's.dead and is trying to live a normal life. But.still misses the adventures he.had while he was alive

Why do you type that way? It is as if you are telling a friend about what they are doing and it is quite confusing.

So, where is this story going? I think it would be a good idea for the opposing nation to attack the town we all are currently in. It would create friction in the story, set an antagonist, provide a goal, and drive our characters together.

Also, if you could, how many Palums are there in one USD, it would give me something to relate currency to.
