Wow! Impressive collections, both of you! I can see you're both fans of butterflies/balisongs and autos. I'll have to gather up my little blade family and snap a photo for y'all next chance I get!

And White Wolf, Texas is quite lenient when it comes to carrying knives around. A knife is considered legal to carry here as long as the blade is single-edged and less than 5.5 inches (13.97 cm) long. Automatics—which include switchblades and gravity-assisted knives like butterflies/balisongs—are also legal to carry as long as the blades are single-edged.

The only blade I can legally carry is the one with the lanyard in my picture. We can't carry blades where I live that are longer than 4 inches and be opened single handed...even though you can open it from the notch at the back with a good push of the finger.

Machetes are also okay

Wow, you can carry a machete around where you live?   Even in Texas that's illegal. Do you need a special reason for it or something?

I'd like to purchase a larger folding knife, but Australian knife laws are ridiculous, so shipping and customs are a problem.

I've heard the ACT territories, particularly Canberra allow you to get automatic and more pleasant kinds of knives.

There is also the possibility of ordering assembly kits and then building the knife yourself once you get it.

Here in Norway you can carry pretty much anything as long as you have an official uniform, like police, security and scouts 
I can go downtown with my 8,75" bowie without any truble as long as im in my scout uniform. But you can not carry any bladed stuff if you don`t have a uniform tough.

Yeah, Helle is one of the few Norwegian knife companies, Helle and Brusletto is the two big ones. Self defence pens... nope, no kind of hidden weapon is allowed to even have at your home here, all kind of hidden weapon gets taken in the customs if you import them.

As long as you say its not for self defense or hurting anyone, yes you can carry them around. Be aware of surroundings tho, police may ask about it on the street but they dont think twice about you having one in a rural area.

They check alot of packages, when I ordered my Benchmade 375 Adamas fixed blade the package got checked. There were nothing else then a fully legal blade and a Zippo lighter in the package, and it was labeled as just that. Even stores have a hard time getting in knives here, thats the reason its so few knives from outside Norway in the stores here.

Huh, must be a different policy over there. My karambit came shipped with the box slightly torn open and looked like someone took a peak inside but didnt fully open the package. Customs labels always say "sporting goods" and shipped from a discreet address so they dont usually check.

Im going to order a few knives and such from knifecenter.com in a few days. Since im not 18 I don`t have a card that can be used on the internet, but im going to buy a "spendon" visa gift card Do anyone have a few recomandtations? Im mostly an outdoorsman with my knives, but if anyone have a few cool knives they like im open for all toughts
