Swiss knives are always good, they're usually the first knives people buy and are most common. If you like knives you should start a collection of the ones you like most :P

A Swiss was my first knife too, my gramps gave it to me when I was a kid and I lost it D: Im going to look for it now

Yeah, my first ever knife was a Swiss Army Knife my dad got me when I was pretty little. I don't think I was even ten years old yet... XD

If you're looking to get a new EDC (Every Day Carry), and you're on a budget, I recommend SOG and Kershaw, and Cold Steel. They're decent brands that are usually quite affordable. I typically tell people to stay away from Gerber, since the quality of their knives is pretty low.

If you wanna poke around for knives online, I recommend knifecenter.com. They've got a pretty good selection. When you're looking at prices, pay attention to the original price; if that's above 50 USD, then chances are you're looking at a pretty decent knife. Check out what they've got on sale and see if there's anything you like:

Huh. So, i'm the only one that modifies their stuff? I added extra mass, so it could be easier to throw, and predict where it lands, and other things that i already listed. i might get a new knife, thanks for the advice, but, am i the only one that throws knives?

Well, I'd answer both of those questions with no. I've done some very light modding on some of my knives, which pretty much amounts to giving them paracord laniards and stuff. What did you put on it to add extra mass, anyway? I wouldn't imagine a Swiss Army Knife would make a very good throwing knife... That's why people make throwing knives.

I duct taped on a couple of big fishing line weights. I can use it pretty well, but that might just be because of practice, and getting use to the strange shape i made it.

I have a training butterfly knife (One with a dull blade) that I do butterfly knife tricks with, as well as a bowie knife.

Cool! :D I've always wanted a butterfly knife; I just love flipping things around. XD

And Fluorescent, I'd like to see pictures of this knife of yours.

Well, that is cool, but when i think butterfly knife, i think TF2 spy, and i did not really hear of bowie knife tricks. i'll look up what you are talking about. I Lost my knife a couple months ago, i might find it by stepping on it in time. I could just get a new one, i know where to go now thanks to you guys, but do you know the best cutlery knifes? I Have Shun Knifes and they work great.

I don't do tricks with the bowie knife, just the butterfly knife. And as soon as I got it I learned all the spy's tricks. By the way, are those cooking knives?

Niice, man! I learned the hard way to practice with my pets locked up (throwing knives, i mean). they were fine, i just had a small heart attack when i missed my target and nearly hit one of them. I saw Bowie knives tricks, and it is swirling and twirling and tossing , mostly.

I'd NEVER throw my butterfly knives or auto blades, they're not for throwing across the room xD I can throw my machetes though. Haven't had to yet, but I can.

As far as modifying knives goes, the only thing aside from regular sharpening/maintenance goes are the mods that my knives will allow to be fixed on like knuckle dusters or different blades that I can switch out. Other than that, I try to keep away from doing too many things to my knives that effect how they perform.

You're not really supposed to throw Swiss Army Knives, either... >w> Honestly, you shouldn't throw any sort of folding knife because you could very easily damage it that way. And you definitely shouldn't throw ANY sort of knife anywhere near your pets.
