Here's one, I won't explain it. You have to take your own thing from it. But it's called Sometimes:
Sometimes, I think about Now
Like that Now there, that just passed
There goes another!
Don't worry if you missed it
They come around like Simpsons repeats
Sometimes, I think Now is like a tree
With deep roots, tangled and buried
So many little threads
All converging on one single point
Though no single root creates the Now trunk
Sometimes, I see all the possibilities
The branches spreading out from the Now
Diverging, yearning
Though we like to see just on branch
Calling it 'real', not 'just possible'
Sometimes, I think if we could step back
We would see a forest of madness
Where branches are roots
A multitude of twisting branch-roots
Converging then diverging, linking all the Now trunks
Sometimes, people say 'can't see the forest for the trees'
I think they can't even see the trees
Just crazy branch-roots
So many that we pick one root and one branch
And think one root creates one branch, nice and simple
Sometimes, a branch-root is rotten or severed
And we dismiss or grieve the whole Now trunk
Because that's simple
Though it is a terrible waste of Now
Believe a tree is a pole is what stops us stepping back
Sometimes, I think about Now... and step back
