I want to write a happy poem
It's still too soon to know
How my poem plan in going
Let's see how I go


Lala la lala lala
I'm a bobble-head
It's sort of like a song so far
I should pick a theme instead


Hmmm, what's bouncing 'round my brain?
I'll try to grab a thought
They can be hard to restrain
Okay, let's see what I've caught


FUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!!!!!!!
Whoa, that one's mostly rage
Probably best I let it out
So I won't put that back in the cage


Okay, let's try another one
NONONONONONONO!
Well that one doesn't seem much fun
I guess the happy is all below


I want to write a happy poem
But I cannot find my laugh
I even tried to crack a grin
But I think it cracked in half

Here's a poem about the value of friends



In the dead of night
I heard the knock
A jackboot maybe
Or a rifle stock
Then in they came
Seeking in turn
Gerdanken verboten
Sweet books to burn
Poked every corner
Checked every nook
My eyes were dry
From the tears they took
And then one trooper
He spoke to me
“Pardon Fräulein, dein Kostbarkeiten
How you say… quality?”
In that moment
The torn floorboards
The shattered glass
And officious words
Faded
And I saw a man
With heart and soul
And tender hand
“Thank you” I said
“I do not hide”
“My treasures, as you say”
“They are my pride”
Their truck was loaded
They were gone
As suddenly
As they had come
I was alive
The world didn't end
My things were broken
But I’d made a friend

The fox stands at a crossroads
She wants to choose the right path
She stands and waits and thinks and thinks
Then she decides that it isn't a right path
That she must take
But a wrong path
She must avoid
So she thinks and waits and stands and thinks
Until she realises there is only one wrong path
The centre of the crossroad
For it leads nowhere
And she had trod that path too long
So she starts walking and doesn't choose
The path choses itself
And it was the right one
