Don't know if this has ever been posted before, but one of the few things besides my fam that I love more than playing outside is comfort food. You know, those sometimes not-so-good-for-you dishes, usually made by a loved one that make you feel all warm and loved inside? You guys got any of those?
My favorite if when my Ma makes pork & rice. She cubes a pork roast or loin and puts it on the stove to simmer in a pot all day in this amazing sweet and spicy sauce that she makes from scratch and guards the recipe with her life. I'll probably never know what she puts in it

Sometimes she adds veggies, some times she doesn't. She always serves it on steamed white rice and it's the most incredible thing in the world. When I was a kid she would make it whenever I was feeling down, or when I was missing my dad, and it never failed to perk me up.
Now she makes it when she knows I'm coming home to visit. I love walking through the door after that long bus ride and getting hit by that cloud of amazing spicy, porky scent.
