Well, How about airguns? My Fienwerkbau mounted with he Noptel Shooting system.

Is this a pellet gun? I haven't seen anything like that :I How does it work?

The ACR and 226 will be used for my bug out kit in case stuff goes sideways it has good accuracy so I'll attach a long range scope with a 45 degree offset for shorter ranges this is all predicated on having the money for it it will take me a while to save up for it.

It's always a god idea to keep reliable guns as part of your kit, maybe you can find a used one for cheaper? What else do you plan to include in your bug out kit? If you've ever heard of the Kel-Tec Sub 2000, it's a really neat folding carbine that shoots 9mm and .40 cal, a lot of people are mentioning it as a versatile bug out gun.

If you guys like FPSRussia, this is a video of him describing it xD

Its a pellet gun.
It uses CO2 to fire it at high speeds for precision./

I have a c02 pistol but I'm not really taken with it, after a few shots it seems to lose most of its power and then its just kinda boring. So far my favorite pellet gun is my Nitro venom dusk in .177 cal. The original scope for it sucked so I replaced it with a 3-9 x50 scope and that seems to make it allot nicer to shoot and also I worked the trigger on it as well to make it a bit nicer.

@spike (I can't quote on my tablet) I prefer something with better reach for my carbines and something compact for close range hence the 226 I really only plan to have two guns in my bug out kit to reduce the number of mags I need to carry ill probably add in a flare gun in with my medkit

Oh man, my favorite topic...
Real steel, I had a .22 m1 carbine style semi auto by savage growing up, then at around 5 I got a .410 shotgun/.22 Rossi, then I got my father's police issue (they let him keep it when he retired due to the switching to Glocks) a S&W 5946 9mm parabellum with hollow points.
Airsoft-wise (pics coming soon!) I have a UTG M490 (Benelli M4 super90) tri burst shotgun, and an A&K M16A4 SPR.

Maybe consider a rifle that uses stripper clips? You can carry a lot more ammo that way but it does make reload time slower (if thats one of your factors). It won't be a small rifle either, one you'll either have to sling it or put in a gun sack to carry around on you. That's the downside unless you cut down the stock (sacrificing accuracy for portability) or swap for a folding stock if you can find one that fits.

No way! I just bought an M1 .22 recently. It's not Savage, its a Chiappa that was overpriced and has plastic sights and bayonet lug. It's wood parts rattled around quite a bit so I had to put some hockey tape around the insides of the wooden frame to keep it from moving around the firing mechanism and barrel so now its solid xD I also find that it shoots extremely well for being almost a quarter plastic while the rest of the gun is steel and walnut. One of the 10 round plastic magazines exploded open into pieces when I had a .22 misfire and explode in the firing chamber during my first shoot with the gun. Other than my left hand and the magazine, the gun held up pretty well. It receives crappy ammo even better than my mk22, which is good I suppose and magazines are cheap so besides the time it misfired, I like it.

I'll post some pics later on.

I loved mine, I had it since I was 4 when my dad thought me about gun safety. It was made around the 80's (that's what my dad told me when he gave it to me) and was just like the WWII M1, but in a .22 form. Accurate as can be, no misfires, and I rarely had to clean it. I'd like a 1943 Russian Mosin-Nagant. The place near me has a lot of 7.62x54R.

I was thinking about buying a Mosin as well but only if I could find the ATI stock kit and bolt to go with it. The gun is almost taller than I am and as a fan of Russian semi-automatics, I'd probably buy the SVT-40 before I bought a bolt-action to chamber a 7.62x54R. Their prices are about the same. My SKS has never had an issue even when I drop the damn thing on cement or in mud OR when I apply force to it's working parts inside. I'm amazed at how durable and reliable it is for a gun that's already 62 years old (It's a 1953 model from the Russian Arsenal).

Cosmoline will always be my greatest enemy. I HATE that you can't buy any Russian guns that AREN'T coated inside and out with that crap. Strip-down and cleaning always takes a whole afternoon D:

Don't I know it! Cosmoline sucks, I was looking at the mosin, and I work the bolt back and what do ya know! It's covered in the stuff! As for an SKS, my father had a Chinese model. He loved it. My mother had a S&W .38 special (I don't know the model revolver, but it was bought around '97.) that she kept for 13 years.

Yeah I don't understand why the guys behind the counter always hand over a gun that had THE MOST cosmoline on it. It just gets on your hands and clothes apart from every other gun you want to look at. They should give out cleaning tissue at the same time.  xD

I've also been looking at .38 Specials :P specifically the Ruger LCR which is a stub-nosed 5 round double action revolver with a concealed hammer. The only thing about it that keeps me from buying it is the fact that I'm not permitted to own handguns with barrels shorter than 4 inches. :( I might end up getting an Smith and Wesson like your mom but probably with a longer barrel xD

Anywhoo, this is my M1-22 I'd been talking about. I also recently picked up a new shotgun as well :P It's a Winchester SXP Defender which has an 18" barrel, a 5+1 capacity for 2 3/4" and 3" 12 gauge shells, and is made in Istanbul, Turkey. A bargain of a truck gun for about $300 which is why I chose it over a Remington or Mossberg since I can't afford to own a Benelli or Kel-tec. It doesn't come with any accessories compared to the Winchester 1200 or 1300 let alone a Remington 870 or Mossy 500 but IT DOES have a pistol grip folding stock made by ATI (if you can find one that is).

Here's some pics of the M1 :P

This is the plastic trigger guard assembly I was talking about. It's not a piece of crap but it definitely FEELS like one.

The receiver and firing mechanism is all steel (obviously) with rails to mount a scope of some kind. The "iron" sights are plastic as well.

Annnd some pics of the Winchester:

And size comparison:

I'm currently saving money now for the GSG MP40 which comes out later this spring or so I've been told. This is the newest prototype. It's a .22lr running at around $550 and I suspect would come in a 9mm model as well.

Love the look of the M1's. The LCR is pretty nice, but I definitely love S&W revolvers. Also, AN MP40 STYLED .22!?! I must have. It looks so cool. Yeeeeaaaaah, I love me some guns. Sadly, after my home was foreclosed when I was around 14, so my guns weren't around too much longer, but that's okay. I'll get some new ones once I am old enough (currently 2 months away from 17).

I would love one... Possibly two... I'm going into the U.S. Navy when I turn 18, so I'll definitely have the money for a "welcome home" present :D . If I'm feeling really trigger happy, a Benelli M4 super 90, even if they are pricey, love that shotgun! Also, your ISSC scar chambered in .22 is pretty damn cool if I do say so myself. I too love FN SCAR's, and the .22 variant looks like a lot of fun to shoot.

Thanks! It's not bad :P The sights need some re-alignment and its a straight shooter but I find it's VERY picky about what .22lr you put through it. It'll jam after every shot if you buy anything cheaper than CCI hollowpoints :$ It's got a lot of rails for accessories but some people say you really don't need all the bells and whistles on a .22lr even though it looks cool with a bipod, laser sight and tac-light. It's better if you own other guns with the same attachments you can easily interchange if you don't want to spend a few hundred bucks on attachments ONLY for a .22 rifle.

Shotgun shells aren't the most economic for blasting away with :/ As much as I like using buckshot, I probably spend 4 times as much on ammo as I do on the guns Dx But hey, if you can afford a Benelli, you can probably afford to use it xD
