just a pic froom google used to fire this in the outback here in aus all the time when i could miss it tho

That's an upwards of $7000 for the gun and an extra $12 for every bullet. You made the right choice getting rid of it. xD

Would show you guys, but the guns are all my father's, and I can't ask him to do that.

That's alright man, we can't mess with our dad's toys lol

My dad doesn't like guns :/ everytime I ask him to come shooting with me he makes up some excuse that he can't come. I hope you're able to go with your dad, I think it's one of the best things a father and son could have fun doing together.

Depends on perspective I suppose (father and son time).

I like your collection of funs so far, keep up the good work :P

I don't have any guns, never have. I don't like the thought of registering a gun, so I will never have one as long as I live in my current state. If I had to choose a first gun, it would probably be the CZ 75 SP-01, because of the cheap supply of 9mm ammo to continue to use with the gun.

My favorite gun that I have fired is the .357 S&W 586 Revolver, however the Colt AR-15 is pretty thrilling too.

Does ammo pricing influence your choice of weapon purchases?

Thanks man :P

The CZ 75SP-01 is a great pistol and has a perfect grip that fits even the biggest and smallest of hands. A buddy of mine sold his regular CZ 75 and bought the SP-01 just because of how it looked, they performed the same and had fantastic groupings from 10 and 20 yards. The only 9mm I have is my Beretta 92fs, and I bought it because the guy behind the counter kept telling me to buy a Glock, Glocks are the greatest, Glocks never fail, etc. etc. and I really don't think they look as pretty as a Beretta xD If a Beretta is good enough for the Marines and a 40 year track record with police, its good enough for me. I think Glocks are so overrated, and I don't like plastic.

The only registered weapons that exist in Canada are handguns and automatics (if you already owned one from being inherited). My rifles and shotguns are not, which I like a lot because I have more freedom to transport and shoot them in more areas that our heavily restricted laws on registered guns do not allow.

A lot of buzz has been going around about getting an AR-15, no matter the brand. The 5.56mm cartridge is probably my least favorite though, so I've never seen the urge to drop 1 or 2 thousand on a rifle that my country deems more dangerous (and puts it in the same class as handguns) based on aesthetics. I run all forms of 7.62mm rounds through my SKS, M305, and Mosin because I love the heavy russian ammo that is just as accurate and more effective at penetrating steel, armour, and concrete. 7.62x39 ammo is also cheaper than 9mm, whereas 5.56mm will cost about double that of the Russian bulk ammo crates. In my opinion, 7.62mm caliber rifles are much more economic, durable, and just as modifiable as an AR.

In terms of ammo cost being a factor? It is for me, definitely. I'm poor as a result of my hobbies taking over my purchases. When I buy ammo, I don't just buy a little, I save like 20 bucks by buying hundreds of rounds at a time. I dropped $300 on 880 rounds of Russian 7.62x54r military surplus ammo for my Mosin. That should last me until next summer. I spend $150 on 175 rounds of Federal 12g buckshot for the range because you can only use buckshot or slugs and slugs cost more than buckshot, which lasts maybe 2 weeks if I shoot frugally. My SKS has had the most bang for its buck, literally. I paid $200 for the rifle plus some $200 on mods and 1000 rounds of 7.62x39 for under $300, which all together is normally the cost of a single decent firearm...

I just realized how much money I spent on this stuff and it's physically hurting my head. It's an expensive hobby for sure, but if you can manage even owning one gun you love to shoot, it's well worth the money.

ALSO,

Anyone interested in the martial arts of tactical firearms training needs to see this. It's crazy.

Well, my dad doesn't mind taking me out to the range. He wants to (to test his '16 with some non-junky , non-hand loaded .223) but we never have the time.

He also takes me to his reenacting tacticals, and those are fun. (Of course, I'm shooting at nazis, how could that not be fun xp)

It's basically ww2 LARP. An event is set up(I'm an American!), and everybody plays out the event!

I remember shooting with my dad. Best Father-Daughter time we've spent! I had his old S&W 5946 w/shaved hammer from his police department (they let him keep it because he retired and they switched to Glocks), it looked like this with Cleveland Police Department engraving.  ^_^ Many a fun days were had!

Nice! I'm glad someone was able to go shooting with their dad :) Maybe one day that pistol will be yours! :D

Here's my Beretta 92fs in 9mm. It's still a virgin xD never been fired but I always keep loaded magazines ready and practice with my friend's 92fs so I can keep mine in new condition :P Ya never know when you need that resale money xD

This is also my loadout for when I'm at home. You never know when you need your guns for a free target! xD

COLLECTION UPDATE:

I broke my own rule and bought another shotgun xD It's a Norinco 870 copy with a 14" barrel. I was looking to swap guns for it but the seller had too many and needed to sell. I have big plans for this little guy, I'll post pics of it when I actually receive it. Here's a pic:

I am SELLING my Winchester 12g SXP Defender to make up for the financial gap in my wallet and make space for my new shotgun. $250. Any takers? You gotta be a Canadian with valid PAL :3

More pics of my Ruger .357mag GP100, I wanted a better picture for my last post but didn't have one, hope this makes up for it!

and my Ruger again compared to my friend's S&W .357 686...I kinda like mine more xD

GUNWORK UPDATE:

- New upper handguard replaced with M1A barrelcover from treelinem14.com, it looks the same but made from fiberglass to replace the cracked, cheap plastic handguard manufactured in China :P I plan to take pictures of it unless asked for anyone curious, it isn't anything special and is identical to the USGI M14 stocks in black.

- New aluminum NcStar SKS gas tube installed! Finally got rid of that boring Russian Cold War era wood :P

New updates coming soon :D In the meantime, what's everyone else been up to?

I personally like this... Yes this. This thing is a heavily customized Remington 700 SPS Varmint with ACIS Chassis 2.0, Modified bolt, and a leupold mk. 4. This thing can get out to 1200 yards with pmc 147 grain fmjbt.
