Also note the country in which this gun is being sold, due to extreme restriction, this is one of the few ways gun owners can still have guns.

The point is, no matter how many restrictions are placed on the qualifications of what makes the gun, there will always be another way to go around it.
Yeah that's common, especially up here where we have automatics converted into semi autos. Our Federal government even banned rifles that had been legally on sale for the past 20 years and seized them from people without compensating them (because they were black rifles). There's been a lot of talk recently about changing our firearm laws to have them make more sense and to protect people's property, but the recent shooting in Ottawa on Parliament Hill cancelled those plans for the time being with no plans to re-schedule.
I fear for my own property as well, damn liberals are trying to bring back a long gun registry so they can keep track of who has grandpa's old rifle, which is stupid and a waste of taxpayer money. AK47s were banned almost 10 years ago because they could be converted to full auto (which doesnt make sense because anything can be made full auto with the right knowledge and parts) and my SKS which is the same caliber, origin, and action as the AK is still legal. Now people are getting scared due to the recent shootings of military and police officers and calling surplus military rifles "assault weapons" in the hands of civilians. What a joke.
Anything becomes an assault weapon if it is used by an individual to attack others. My military rifles have never been used as assault weapons and I hope they never are.

Also, do you guys remember when I said I ordered a 14" barrel 870? Well it came, and so did the new grip. It took some home gunsmithing to work out all the kinks since it was used, but after some hammering and filing it racks really smooth and feeds shells no problem!
Here is the before:
And after I tinkered with it:
What do you think? Its my new truck gun, meaning it rides around with me behind the seat of my pick-up for general purpose shooting/preparedness.
I haven't fired it with the new grip yet so Im kind of nervous since I havent used a shotgun this small with a grip like this one.
It is a factory 14" barrel with a 5.5" grip making it an overall length of 26.5" (Legal where I live as long as all mods are factory made and retain a 26"> length). I think it's really interesting to be able to possess something that most countries wouldn't allow. Sometimes Canada has more freedom than some States do. Other times? Not so much xD
