I remember as a little kid, I was forced to eat apple cinnamon instant oatmeal one day. Just... everything about it disgusted me. I nearly threw up every time I took a bite. I wasn't allowed to leave the table until I finished it, so I actually sat there all day until my mom and stepdad gave up.

I don't remember what it was called, but it was this green oozy dip made out of okra with the consistency of Nickelodeon slime that was given to me by a Sudanese friend. The combination of taste and texture combined to create something particularly vile that very few things have matched so far.

Mushrooms...anything with mushrooms...dirty, horrible, slimy fungus

I love mushrooms.

Once I tried to mix grape juice with milk and vanilla extract as an attempt to make something that tastes at least somewhat similar to a grape soda float or, since I was out of ice cream and grape soda. Even if it didn't, I hoped it would at least make a decent beverage. Good lord, did that turn out WAY different than I expected. X_x;;

I didn't eat mushrooms for a decade because, as a kid, I gorged on them so much I puked my guts out one day and from then on associated "mushrooms" with "vomiting".

On a dare, I had the entree from a "Veggie Burger with Barbecue Sauce" MRE. I don't know what I was expecting, but it had the texture of wet cardboard, the taste of salty cardboard, and had a (I cannot make this up) little broccoli floret in the mashed together faux-meat patty.

Heck, mostly anything in MREs can be classified under this, but that veggie burger is what stands out the most.

A little childish, but I absolutely DESPISE peas. The texture alone just sets off an instant gagging DX

Though it didn't taste that horrible to me, there were these TV dinners I kept having to eat as a kid when being dragged along while my dad did rental property maintenance.  The mashed potatoes had the consistency of moist sand, and sometimes it was extra watery, like a melting potato-sand slushy. But surprisingly I didn't mind the taste of it, though I guess that wasn't great either. I was always just happy about food in general.
