Poll for the artists!
« on: March 16, 2014, 02:01:43 AM »
I'm writing a speech for a class and I wanted to collect some opinions. Can you guys help?

To digital artists- What program(s) do you use for your art and WHY do you use them?

To traditional artists- If you do not use any programs, why? If you could, would you? Please any specific programs and why you would use them.

To photographers- Do you use any programs to touch up/edit/manipulate your work? If you do, which one(s) and why?

The "Why" is crucial. Please try to be specific, thank you!

I use Gimp, because in my opinion it's the best free alternative to Photoshop.
They both have about the same functions and things and it works pretty well for what little art I create... (There are  a few things I miss from PS, but they are so few that getting it isn't really worth it in my case)

Sometimes I also use Paint.net, but that's mostly because it's too much of a hassle to install a plugin on Gimp that can open and edit DDS-files :'P
Other than that I think it's pretty stoopid >_< But that's probably because I can't use it properly yet..
